No reasonable person here is getting their hopes up or thinks that LSU is in the lead here, but LSU is in the mix and had a positive visit. That is about all you can ask for at this point - and it doesn't give someone like prom license to go douche up every thread with a "bama lock, move along" line. It is obnoxious, and the act is overplayed.

sidenote: maybe RN is tired of his homer gump coach speaking for him and saying he is a bama lock.

Just saw these quotes in an article on ESPN that was posted today. This is straight from his head coach, and it definitely contradicts what was posted on BOL.

"I do not believe that there is a front-runner," Conn said. "I think it's one of those things where when Robert visits a school, he walks away so impressed. They are all recruiting him so hard and so well. They are all great schools, and they treat him like a king.

And then there is this...

"Those are the five," Conn said. "He just visited LSU and loved it. He told me today that he had a great time, although we didn't talk too long about it. I know he would like to see and visit all five schools again before he makes his decision. He wants to get to know the coaches and players a little better before he decides."

ETA: It could be that he said this though because RN has said he doesn't want to be considered a lock.

Honestly do you post stuff just to be negative. Let us dream who cares if some blogger said he is going to bama or if he is just playing the game. I understand some play the game and some don't. If he is true to his word and does announce LSU on May 18th, it won't matter till signing day, so no point in getting your hopes up. Remember Janzen Jackson. We all know that Bama will continue to be #1 in recruiting or at least the top 2. It hasn't been proven that this alone will get you a natty every year. Look at what bama had in 2010, McElroy, Ingram, Richardson and Jones, not including the o line. That team lost 3 games. I understand they lost a lot on D, but look at the team last year and this year. I think the same will happen. Just cause you have #1 recruiting classes don't mean shite.

I am glad he likes us and it is good pub. I still think he picks bama, but us being in the conversation for oos recruits is good for me. At some point, we will begin to land these guys, like we did with PP7.
