What needs to happen on this site is for people to stop thinking we are going to get the best class ever, we are keeping our 5 stars, next year LA is loaded, etc. I’ve known since the 5 for 5 class not to get our hopes up and that we will get the leftovers. We aren’t the household name like we were 15 years ago. I try to tell you guys every year that flips are going to happen and that our class won’t stay intact, and I get ridiculed for it. I’ve been right EVERY year, including the 5 for 5 year when I said we might get 2 or 3 max

What kind of a contingency plan do you want? You're not going to be able to get two 5* QBs in one class to commit to LSU. In fact, you're not going to be able to get any QB worth a damn to commit to LSU behind a 5* QB.
So do you not take a 5* QB, so you can get another QB in your class?
Only one of them can play.
LSU went after the #1 QB. He was committed for a long time. LSU got burned.
Here are your realistic contingency plans:
The QBs on the roster.
The QBs in the portal.
The HS QBs next year.

Yeah, I expect Berry, Pickett and Meadows to flip. They will get offered mire money. LSU may get soft committals then lose them near signing day to the big money schools. LSU may have to concentrate on the 3 stars and coach them up rather than chasing after guys who only use the Tigers as leverage.

We've got to keep the DTs [Williams and Brown] and the CBs. Pickett, Phillips and Anding are absolutely critical if the program is going to progress [instead of regress] in 2025 and 2026 on the field.
