think we are all fans of anyone throwing that kind of heat. I think I remember Lester being a bit hesitant or less enthusiastic on Mayers for the walks though

4.4 bb/9 is not the same as 9.7 bb/9 (Mayers).

Mayers clicked decently enough down the stretch for about 10 innings tho. I won’t rule anyone out anymore

Mayers state lines are wild

he is almost untouchable as a pitcher

you are as likely to get hit by a pitch as you are to hit a pitch.

4 hits and 4 Hit Batters in 15 innings.

25/45 outs were K.

he honestly had to be terrifying to face because when he threw strikes he was nasty and when he didn’t it was like 97 and no one had any idea where it was going

I think at some point. in the pros they’re gonna change that arm angle. it’s an advantage because it’s so high and hard to pick up, but something has to give with his mechanics to get some control

well that’s dumb considering Cali has the best HS baseball in the country.

In his last start I believe, Ware had an opponents batting average of .140 and an ERA over 6.

Those are two guys, who if they can develop any type of consistency, will be absolutely filthy next year.

I think my DVs have misunderstood my post. I am referring to their proximity, not their talent. About like MS football players coming to LSU, catch about 1 out of 10 maybe.

The hit wasnt even really his fault. Yeskie tried to sneak an offspeed in on 0-0 knowing everyone in the park had a FB coming. He even located it well and JTj somehow was on it. More of a cap tip moment.

Does anyone have a clue how his portal recruitment is going if he’s gonna visit campus?
