Yeah the way he moves is what you look for in a qb today.

He's a CAN run Dual Threat QB, not a WILL run.

Love that he can scramble and move while keeping his eyes down field. Very much in control of the game.

Legit question, how the hell are they 3-4?

Is it cuz their schedule is hard?

He has some stuff to clean up, but he reminds me of Bryce Young. I'm not sure if he has quite the arm Young has, but the way he extends plays and throws on the move is very similar.

He's a great addition to the 2023 QB class because LSU knows they have close to a sure thing in Walker Howard. You can take a chance on Collins.

Murderers row schedule they setup for themselves:

ULab (4-3, but 3 close losses to Rummel, Catholic and Madison Prep)
LCA (5-2)
E.D White (6-1)
St. James (6-1)
Zachary (5-1)

Oh and they play Catholic (6-1) this week

Seriously that non-district schedule before Zachary was just a bad idea. They went 1-3 in those games. They already knew Catholic and Zachary would be really tough in their district as it was, to go out and schedule 4 stupid tough non-district games was brazen to say the least.

They knew they wouldn’t be good in district so they tried to load their schedule for both power ratings and tough competition to prepare the kids.

Their O Line is porous. I was at the game vs LCA and I will tell you that even in a loss, he looked spectacular.

He will do this thing where it looks like he is just kind of flicking the ball out somewhere and you then see it flying 30 yards nearly on a rope to the receiver almost perfectly placed.

I saw Newman play LCA last year in the playoffs and you could tell Arch was good but he didn't look as good as Collins to me.

That also contributes.

But CleanSlate & TruthSpeaker225 thinks "he ain't it"

And don't question CleanSlate because he's coached for 10 years.

That juke in the 2nd GIF was pretty nice. He moves well in the pocket. His OL isn't very good though so it's tough to be able ton get a handle on his passing when he's under pressure/running for his life.

He'll be a good QB for LSU. I have that feeling.

Collins is pretty much their whole team. He beat EDW on his own and EDW was up 20-0. Still their only loss.

Just because he coached for ten years doesn’t mean he is a coach!! If it’s high school they hire a head coach manly and maybe a few other coaches but staff is usually fill with male teachers or volunteers

Yep, especially in the lower divisions. 1A & 2A. Even at a school like LCA. A couple of teachers are on the coaching staff. One I know, he's a smart guy and pretty football savvy but I wouldn't value his opinion of a QB over any well-informed person.

I am also told that the LCA coaching staff thought very highly of Rickie Collins.

Are you questioning CleanSlate & his film/coaching expertise?
