Bama folks have been saying their offer to Rodney is for next year. Now this happens. Isn’t very hard to figure out

If Rodney and his parents think he's getting an offer from bama next year...

I hope we still get Ish but right now it just seems like LSU has been led along just to get dumped at the end. I hope I’m wrong and Sophser is secretly 100% LSU but I don’t think I’m wrong here. It would be ok to lose Ish if O could reel in 2 of the MS DL.

Bama does it every year. If it happens with Sopsher, you absolutely know it’s not a coincidence.

a "we're so important to Saban he devises and plans ways to hurt only LSU recruiting" complex.

It only happens in kids that are a Bama-LSU battle. They have a completely clouded recruitment, trend to LSU late in the process so we hold them a spot, then put on the bama hat on signing day. Never fails.

People if Ish was going to Bama guaranteed he would of never dropped from a 5 to a 4 star.

As for right now, this is fake news...he's still a 5-star. We'll see where he ends up when 247 does their final ranking.

King, call me stupid I guess. i think he may tell recruits to wait to the later signing day to save the recruit some harassment, but I don't agree with the scheming stuff. just my opinion, of course i could be wrong...

I mean, what about A&M, Auburn, Georgia or Florida recruiting battles he's been in with them?? Is he calculating for all SEC teams? he's even lost quite a few recruiting battles with them.. .. A&M and Auburn are the ones that have beat him more recently... i just think the LSU paranoia with Saban is overblown because he used to be our coach, left us , and joined a rival...

There are no coincidences when it comes to something with this much money and emotion vested in it.

Hey Ish.....If the midget schemed all this late recruiting bullshite just to get you in this class, and conveniently put your Brother in 2020, don't think for a minute he won't find a way to frick your Brother's grades up in JUCO just to get his midget arse out of this deal.....you are trusting the wrong guy....Saban has no loyalty and no heart...good luck to you, and especially your Brother, who will get processed like the rest after you are already signed.

So with Rodney not qualifying (surprise, surprise), what are our chances with the MS guys?

Right. Reuben Foster wasn't considered an Auburn lock and doesn't have an Auburn tattoo or anything.

Quit being naïve. Saban does it to all of his competitors.

Don't forget Rashan Evans

The examples are numerous. Acting like Saban only does it to LSU is ignorant.

When Orgeron punches Saban in the mouth everything will change.

saban cheats many different teams - LSU and Auburn the most.

There...now we're all on the same page.

This entire situation gives off a terrible impression from the LSU perspective. Ole Miss guys breaking this immediately set off red flags and Ish's public comments about giving his brother a scholly was the initial red flag for me.

It just leads to a ton of questions. Was the LSU side completely unaware or just misled? Is there a disconnect with people at Amite? What's really happening behind the scenes?

They knew it was a long shot, nobody was confident in actually getting them to LSU. Though you just can't not recruit these kids regardless. That will hurt you in that region later on down the road if Amite produce any more high talent prospects.
Nobody was blindsided by this and they will still recruit this kid till the end.

Edit: its no secret when it comes to Bama's influence in Amite, but just gotta keep recruiting and trying to change the culture there.

How do you know this? It's just an opinion, right? You might be correct.

However, you can see why some people might think we were blindsided a bit by this, right?

True we do not have a fence in Amite, that is for sure.

Bama has significantly only beat us in 2 areas DT and OL--until we are able to pass protect and get some rush up the middle we are always going to be an underdog to Bama. We might win an occasional game but the OL in particular has got to improve and both positions start with recruiting better.
