Doubt he’s coming here but I just find that announcement timing a little weird. I’m ready for Brennan!

That’s best for him honestly.

What if after spring coaches don’t think Brennan is up for the job? I think it’s worth a shot. Might lose Brennan in the process but you need great quarterback play to compete for championships these days. That’s a fact.

If the coaches believe there is someone out there that can get the job done better, I am all for it. If they believe Brennan can get the job done, great!
They see these kids every day in practice so I trust their decision.

He is promised nothing at LSU, I think he can show his stuff at Arky, but that team has no talent...

I don't care. He is not needed at LSU.

We are going to benefit from this success. With that being said, let the chips fall where they may. Going forward I like Brennan and wish him nothing but the best. Obviously he had a front row seat while learning from the GOAT. That's promising!

I don't think King will be available after spring practice. He graduated on December 14th and is in the portal now. I would assume he will join his next team this month for the spring semester.

There comes a time when your coaching staff must develop and coach up your own QB recruits, and not always be looking at transfers. This coaching staff has all the confidence in Miles Brennan, and it's time Tigers fans start believing in him as well.
Miles Brennan in 3 years as a HS Varsity starter passed for over 15,000 yards, 165 TD's, rushed for 1141 yards and 23 TD's, and had a completion percentage of .673. He's learned behind Joe Burrow now for two years. With the continued tutelage of Steve Ensminger and Joe Brady, and the return of this receiving corp and TE Arik Gilbert, this offense will continue to be prolific.

Every HS recruit that signs with a school like LSU has good high school stats
It is meaningless. Just stop.

I reckon you to compare Brennan to the last 3 QBs we've signed in Parrish, Johnson and Finley and tell me there's not a difference in their high school stats

You are missing the broader point.
But to play off your statement & to emphasize mine, does that mean those guys won’t he good?

The only point that matters is who is the best passer on the roster and that's who should play, who do you think that is for next year?
Even with King on the roster I doubt it would be him.

I want the best quarter back they can find.
Brennan’s high school stats don’t mean shite
Especially if you want to compare him to King who has a 50TD college season under his belt

I'd say they mean a lot in that he can clearly toss the football around and be dominant there in the right offense. Burrow's high school stats were pretty similar.
It's not like Brennan was just decent in high school, he threw for 5k yards a season with a ridiculous number of TDs at a high completion percentage on a team who has never seen anything close to that before or since then.
You bring up King in college, but he's played nobody and never looked good against the very few good defenses he's faced. Certainly hasn't looked like a natural passer either. Obviously Brennan cant compare college stat wise right now, but that could change pretty quickly.
