How are the Aggie’s outbidding us. I thought we took care of the money situation.
We do not have the resources to match A&M donors right now

Not saying we don’t have a lot of we’ve proven that, but cmon. They’re also heavily focused on using their money on HS recruits, which is a little risky IMO. I prefer our approach.

Maybe just maybe LSU has a game plan on how much an incoming freshman will get that won’t start immediately and focus on which players to pay. Theres no reason he can’t come here in a year or two if he proves his worth.

Well that’s a sorry reason to dislike the university being since none of that staff is here anymore. So she’s just gonna automatically dislike Kiffin and the new staff along with LSU over something jackass Brian Kelly and the old staff said or did?

Sounds like an excuse to me just to make her son choose the team offering the most money.

LSU/Kiffin didn’t get simply outbid by Notre Dame. It’s just that Kiffin isn’t going to pay ridiculous money for any high school recruit that is most likely gonna sit on the bench in year 1. If Kiffin knew Simien would probably start immediately then i guarantee you Lane would’ve won that battle and most definitely wouldn’t have got outbid by ND.

Notre Dame is one of our farm teams. He was sent to South Bend to get a little experience as a freshman.

If he does well, he may still get promoted to LSU in 27.

Our Staff believes Amaziah Siale is a better prospect anyway. 3* with probably the 1/10th of the cost.

Tell me you haven't been paying attention to how Lane and his staff is recruiting without telling me you haven't been paying attention to how Lane and his staff is recruiting...

Lane has stated he's not going to pay top dollar for a recruit only for him to ride the pine the first season because he's not ready only for him to transfer the next season, you just wasted funds that could have been better spent on another player ready to plug and play...

Let A&M or ND pay that top money, especially A&M only for that playing to sit the first year then transfer out...

it has already been verbally established by Kiffen that they are not going to spend big $$ on freshmen that will not make an immediate impact on the team ala an Easton Royal or a 5 star DL where they rotate a lot. It's why they didn't go all in on Dobbs. He wasn't going to play this year. It's a smart game plan and will save lots of money to go after players that will actually contribute.

My understanding is LSU has 3 players they wanted more than Simen and willing to push to get those three.

Simen is two years in development type.

Great player, just LSU is looking for a starter types or back ups that will play next season.

From what I read from pretty reputable sources, Notre Dame was the least of the three bidders. LSU was one Texas A&M was second Notre Dame was third.

How does posting the video of the commitment make me an asshat?

People asked about the hat fake. I posted the video.

Why are you so angry?

I never really care about losing players to Notre Dame.

Culturally, Notre Dame is so vastly different than the SEC schools and your other big-time programs (Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan, Oregon, etc). More times than not, the Notre Dame kids generally are a little more polished, reserved...perhaps less thuggish? They don't have a lot of Shemar Turners, Nick Fairleys, Ruben Foster, Dallas Turners ....

So, losing out to them, well, generally those recruits care more than just football. Losing out to other SEC schools, however....that's a whole different story. Except for Vanderbilt, we're all the same, just with different color helmets and jerseys.

Looks to me he has trouble deciding. There's more time to signing date as we've seen in the past.

Not to disrespect the kid because he may go on and be great at ND and I hope he does. But he plays for a bottom dweller team for the worst district (District 3) in 5A. He is local to my area and is very good, but he isn't facing the best talent in the state. He is a bit undersized for today's OL standard. Not a Day 1 starter so its hard to justify Day 1 starter money.
