He said we’d be aggressive in the portal and there’s no doubt in my mind now that he was telling the truth. He wasn’t selling us bullshite and I appreciate that. It’s only just begun too.

He’s here to win a championship and I hope he does.
Things haven’t been perfect for him since taking over.. Trying to rebuild lsu after the roster issues right as NIL was launching and free transfer. LSU being a little behind the game at first because we were trying to do the right nil thing.
Coupled with having to fire the entire D after 2 years. New staff on Both sides. Some of these are his own doing. Some were just a bad hand.
But he didn’t come here to retire on a fat check. He wants to win it all and I’m pulling for him since he happens to coach the team I love.

I was getting frustrated just like everyone else. I'm glad he's getting the right pieces. Still need certain positions to be even so hopefully we can get everything to a minimum quickly.

Brian Kelly is one of the most honest coaches I’ve ever heard. I think of times he downplayed expectations in the pre-season to saying we are going to be aggressive in the portal. Has he been wrong about some things… yes. But I think he is straightforward and doesn’t act like he’s keeping nuclear codes.

I mean we have to be aggressive in the portal, we have a fair amount of holes to fill. He just watched a season in which we had a fair amount of holes to fill and he wasn't aggressive ing the portal and we went 8-4. He also said that right after we had just lost 3 massive recruiting targets.

What in the hell are you talking about? Name 2 starters on defense that he has got that will start. Not gamechangers, just starters. Still need DL, CB, and S. Literally the entire defense needs help and he's done nothing. Why are yall getting so excited about us landing depth pieces?

We got a DE from Nebraska (Butler) and a starting CB from FL (Jackson). And this is like day 4 so despite your hate for the coach that has more wins than any other guy coaching football, you may want to reconsider

Both are depth pieces. Neither will start. The DE has a chance to start simply because of how weak we are at that position. Winning 9-10 games a year at ND isn't impressive. How many top 10 teams did they play this year? Zero! Z E R O. They played one top 25 team and that was freaking Army. Once again, stop getting excited about BK getting bench players! Being aggressive doesn't mean being in the top 3 for the guys everybody wants. Land those game changers and then you can start congratulating him.

You talk of landing elite portal guys but yet call the 4th best edge AND top 25 portal player arse.
The Nebraska kid will likely start at Swinsons spot opposite side of Reliford. Jackson is likely going to play starter minutes at one of the cb spots.
Every player we signed or has committed was an upgrade over the player that is transferring out and the ratings on On3 show that.
And we aren't remotely done so please just STFU.

Look at the little baby cry. Poor little bittle baby just kicking and screaming because he don't get his way. If that kid starts at CB, meaning he's top 3 at that position, we are in big trouble. It's not negative when it's the truth. I just don't see how any of yall are excited about landing bench players and think it's aggressive by doing so. Land the wr out of GaTech, that's being aggressive.

He's also using his own money, well, the wife would say her money, but he's using their money to bring in these players. Also, he's asking people to chip in and match their money. So, yeah, I been impressed with how aggressive he's being in going after players.

How many championships did he win in all these years coaching at ND? I picked this season but you can pick any season and ND has a weak schedule. That CB, DE, and QB would all start and probably do very good at ND but this is LSU. We ain't the same.
