Saban worries only about winning. He doesn’t care about those kids after they leave bama. It doesn’t bother him at all that most of them flame out in the league and have nothing left in the tank when they graduate.

At least Coach Miles has integrity. He kicked Ryan Perrilloux off the team for using a fake ID to get into one of the gambling boats.

actually, Perrilloux played for LSU after that. it was a few more incidents that eventually got him kicked off, the last of which was rumored drug use. dude stayed fricking up. like I used to say, Ryan11: football smart, life stupid (though he reportedly has matured since back then).

I normally wouldn't be this petty but considering the fact that it's 100% common knowledge I'll say it anyway: just look at the job Saban has done with his own kids. His daughter is possibly a top 10 all-time psycho whackjob in the UA Greek system and his son was supposedly a huge frickup at Catholic too. Not sure why any parent would want their kids playing for someone like him, his "I'm a gonna protect my guys and it's none of y'all business, alright?" shtick every time one of his kids gets caught being a criminal is so transparent. Literally all the dude cares about is winning and cementing his legacy and he'll let as many kids turn into degenerate piles of shite as it takes to get there

Because all those kids care about is winning championships. I get it, I do as an 17-21 year old. But this is true, he can give two shits about them and most will tell you this. This is the same man that walked over a player when he collapsed from heat exhaustion while he was coaching at Miami. Take that one in!

And Coach Miles ended up kicking Tyrann Mathieu off of the team right before the 2012 season for his pot usage. That may have well cost LSU a shot at the national championship that year since Mathieu likely would have been playing in Jalen Mills' spot when they played Alabama (Mathieu likely would have correctly read the play as a screen and not blitzed). I seriously doubt Saban would have kicked him off the team. Saban is a "win at all costs" hypocrite.

That is definitely true. My boss (and a HUGE LSU and Nick Saban fan) at the time had kids at Catholic, and Nick's son was a BIG fan of the reefer. As I remember it, Nick ended up withdrawing his kid from Catholic even before he left LSU.

Couldn't LSU block him from transferring to another SEC school?

No. They can block transfers directly from LSU to another FBS school, but once they go to juco for a year they can go anywhere they want.

Watch, it's going to happen with Willie Allen. TCU tampered with him (allegedly) and LSU blocked him from transferring there, so he went to Tyler Community College. I'll be shocked if he doesn't transfer to TCU after this season.

Savion is not a bad talent. But would he even start here in '18?

As far as Saban signing someone who apparently had character issues here, UGA fans could say the same thing about us and Mett. I don't think there's a problem with someone who's gone the junior college route being given a second chance.
