Props to Kevin Faulk on the running back haul

Running backs coach has to be an ace recruiter.
This was Faulk’s first year as a college coach and he signed two top 10 backs.
Jury is still out on his on-field coaching, but I’m sure he will grow into the position.
He’s got the recruiting down, though.

Position coaches don’t get all the recruits at their position. Coaches usually recruit areas.

Kinda being over blown
Wasn’t a strong RB year nationally
But who did LSU beat out for these guys? Cincy & Auburn

Goodwin is from Alabama, with no Bama offer
Kiner, from Ohio, didn’t have a commitable offer to Osu according to the Ohio St guys,
They scooped two solid backs but both over programs from a lower tier from LSU

None of that matters. Ohio State got the top RB in the country, so obviously that affects their other offers. Goodwin was an Auburn commit.

Oh ok. I do not know shite about recruiting. But I recall conditional offers. His offer is only good if someone else falls through?

Usually. I'm not sure if Alabama is taking a running back at all this year, but if they do, it'll probably be Wheaton. But I think they'll be fine with just not taking one.

Roster management like you read about... hopefully they won’t be taking any offensive linemen next year so we can get more than 1

Faulk did a great job bringing in these 2 kids.
He clearly put a premium on backs that fit LSU’s new offense.
