How can someone with that much talent not have the discipline to do what it takes to make the necessary grades. It’s his one ticket to education and possibly opportunity. That has always amazed me.

Pretty remarkable considering he’s missing half his toes on one foot

He needs to get his grades up. That's why he is not committed to a top school.

I would love him to come to LSU after he gets out of JUCO.

Unless Bama pulls an “Eddie Lacy” and he miraculously “qualifies”.

He was outside throwing blocks, running between the tackles and taking on defenders last night. He didn’t shy away from contact. LSU should find a place for this kid. I would love to see Pooka and Brumfield at LSU. As far as Brumfield. A lot of people talk about his lack of breakaway speed. He is similar to Darrel Williams and he doesn’t have breakaway speed either but, has had a nice career at LSU.

Schools like Harvard and Stanford are basically tuition-free if your family makes less that $100-125K/yr.

You are correct. Looking at setting up for life. Going to and finishing at Harvard can set you up for life if you are smart, and he is. Should have headed to Cambridge.

One detail overlooked: Lindsey Scott was never accepted at Harvard.
Nor is he 6'.
Nor was he denied a chance to compete at LSU.
Otherwise...

People question his grades and his academic work ethic. Don't know his situation but I remember a kid at Wossman years ago that was a tremendous athlete, but legitimately could have been special Ed.

Those high character guys over at Bama have beat us year after year. You see character issues, I see edge. You can't just say character issues and not give examples. I noticed he didn't shake hands after the coin toss like a few of his teammates. Fck it as long as he's a team player. I haven't seen anything that supports full-on character issues.

This team has missed more players with an edge like that. We miss Jamal Adams and TM7. They brought something to the team that lifted everyone's play.

Easy to fix. If pooka has grade issues just send him after the season to the place in Bama that got Lacy qualified. From what I understand if, at the time, you could get him qualified Pooka should be a sinch...

I’d like to think that O of all people could make it work but the school is very strict

He was bottled up for like a five yard loss and never crossed the line of scrimmage. Instead of taking the loss of yards he managed to get out of the pocket and throw the ball away as if he were the qb.

That's a pretty heads up play, unfortunately at the next level the likelihood of a penalty is extremely high being that a lineman would most likely be blocking downfield.

I can see 90,000+ in Tiger Stadium cheering for him after a big run "Pooooooooooooooo!"
Then TV commentator: "folks, they aren't screaming boo they are actually screaming poo."
