OU WR Nic Anderson in the portal

The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Anderson missed most of this season due to an injury but set an Oklahoma freshman record with 10 touchdown catches in 2023.
38 REC
798 YDS
10 TDs
21.0 YPC

Update: A hip injury cost him the first games of the season, and when he returned to make his season debut against Tennessee on Sept. 21, he played just five snaps before aggravating his injury. He didn't return to the field for the remainder of the season.
Also as a true freshman in 2022 he battled a lot of injuries. Too much of a risk on this one.

Would be a huge get, but have to go through medical checks on him first. He is leaving OU because he thinks the medical team mishandled his injury there. So definitely one you want to have fully checked out before taking on.

What was his injury?

Right about that, looks good on paper. Hopefully he’s still the same guy before the injury. Will update to the OP.

Hip injury, I'll pass, my hip still hurting from 1994.

We already have those issues

The injuries give me pause. But I just posted on the rant that I'd hope to target a 6'3, 6'4 big body from the portal since next year's returning WRs range from 5'8 to 6'0. Would love to find a big body for those sideline mismatches or endzone fades.
Think we threw an endzone fade to freaking 5'8 Aaron Anderson against Vandy. He almost had it but that's not really the ideal route for him.

We need a tall WR not a long stretcher for a tall WR

Loved him coming out of high school.
I'd take him.

What would theyh lose by bringing him into the program? Its a steal if he gets healthy. If not give him a medical retirement.

Anderson is the better player.
You would take Anderson and someone else probably just in case.
