If Nuss elects to go pro, then heck yeah. This QB has what it takes to compete in the SEC. A bit of Tebow, a bit of JD5 and some more.

It is like an email chain that was sent to you by grandparent, but it is a message board post.

I honestly thought this was gonna be ridiculous but after watching the highlights, he's got some serious tools. But i will say we haven't had wrs that wide open at any point this season.

Great suggestion! And I find it hard to believe he stays at Washington State with the "conference" as screwed up as it is. The Pac-12 has been dropped as a Power 5 conference due to Oregon State and WSU being the only survivors and merging with I guess those Mountain West teams. If he wants any type of high prestige, he isn't going to get it there. He WILL transfer...only ? is where.

Transfer portal really kills these other programs. I couldn’t imagine being a fan and having a stand out player be gone once he’s good

Burrow and Daniels left a lot to be desired their first year. Neither one showed us crap and I’d argue that Nuss has looked better than both, when comparing their first year as starters at LSU. Now whether or not he makes that next level jump, idk, but it’s insane to write him off after 1 year when we have seen what happens when our last 2 QB’s come back for their 5th year.
It would be extremely wise to recruit a legit QB in the portal to push Nuss. If he can beat him, then so be it. Competition will make LSU better.

I agree that Burrow and Daniels their first year at LSU had holes in their game like Nussmeier does. HOWEVER, Burrow and Daniels were willing to run to make up for some of those deficiencies...Nussmeier has not done that. Also, Burrow and Daniels worked their butts off to improve...let's watch and see if GN does the same. I agree with your conclusion about the next step...sign the best transfer portal QB possible and if GN returns, let the competition begin. But if Nussmeier doesn't add OCCASIONAL runs to his toolbox, he will never be much better than he is now. The game of college football has simply tilted too much to the dual threat QBs...or at least to a pro style QB who isnt a statue.

All great qbs have a supreme work ethic.

What nuss does this off season will tell me a lot about his. He should be rounding up his receivers and make a point of throwing to them this off-season.

Nuss’ greatest deficiency is he doesn’t like contact. Thats a character trait. It’s not fixable with experience.

That said, a lot of big spenders will be in the market for a portal QB this year.

He might not be using mobile.

Guy looks good, but with Nuss and what we have on the bench QB probably isn't a priority.

If you bring him in Collins definitely leaves. No clue if Collins is or will be good. But can't see him staying if you bring in someone else. Swann is already the immediate backup too.

This guy looks good, he's going to be at a big program next year... hope it isn't auburn or atm

It depends more on Nussmeier. If he stays, no reason to drop 7 figures on a transfer QB.

Mateer's throwing style is very similar to Jamarcus Russel with the way he throws with a quick flip of the wrist. Running style is similar to Tebow.

I can't wait to see what additional wrinkles in the offense that Harlem Berry brings. He's supposed to be as good as a receiver as he is a RB.

The more additional and differing weapons we bring, the more pressure taken off Nuss.

His game does remind me of Justin Herbert.
