It's called due diligence not gambling. He's still got his cell phone on him.

In this day and age he could just go ahead and scout some Pelicans games.

LSU never has that one white guy that is absolutely deadly from 3.

Literally just had one this year. We just sucked everywhere, else mainly at HC position.

He will be playing with walkons and D2 players

If these players become available, the blue bloods of the sport will find money. Duke Kentucky Kansas North Carolina alums will open their wallets if that added piece means a greater chance of winning a championship.

I’m surprised that he’s just sitting in the middle of everyone like he’s one of the parents. Don’t these coaches hire teams of body guards to protect them?

I've been to the PIT a few times over the years.
Wade is sitting in the scouts/coaches section that's roped off behind one of the baskets. I've seen Larry Bird up there in years past.
There are police officers there, and they wand you coming in, but it's hardly tight security.
You do know if you're in LA or NYC you don't have to look too far to cross paths with some very famous people, right? They just try to wear a ball cap or sunglasses to go unnoticed.

Timeline on this is becoming more clear -
SI
They want to vote on "5 in 5" as soon as mid May and implement in June. They acknowledge there is no consensus on grandfathering in current players, but it seems very likely current 4 year seniors will be able to play next season.
I also wonder if this will relax the NCAA stance on guys like RJ Luis which is the reason Wade is being so aggressive in trying to recruit a guy that will be in the same category as Charles Bediako at Alabama. The NCAA may throw their hands up and allow almost anyone that is still in the 5 year window instead of differentiating between those that played in G league with a 2 way NBA contract and those that played in G League (or Euros) that didn't sign an NBA contract.

Pistol? Hornsby? McKinnon? Dennis Tracy? Paublinskas? I think all these might be considered deadly shooters and all white
