I have heard the name but don't know a thing about the guy. Dandy has him #34 in the state, not saying that means anything. Is not ranked on either site position wise.

i feel like i'm in the twilight zone.

I think this class may end up a disappointment. couple of decommits, and the last few months are freaky IMO. With some big names on the table, we are taking a punter, juco lineman (could benefit) and this gent i haven't heard of. looks like the coaching staff doesn't have a lot of faith in the big name guys imo.

Claiborne has been on the short list since the LSU camp. He impressed the coaches at the camp.

Sonny said he was supposed to be moved up to a 3 star already, but it will be coming.

has anyone found the hole in the dyke where the rant is leaking over onto this board?
I usually just come over here to read things for a while to clear all the

out of my head, but there seems to be infiltration......

Scout.com has him listed as a 1 star WR. 1 star... really? I can understand signing a 1 star punter, but a wide out?
Bio from Scout.com:
Morris Claiborne says he can bench 235-pounds, squat 405 and has a 32-inch vertical jump.
Claiborne says he wants to major in physical education and reports a 2.5 core GPA and a 20 ACT.
Claiborne: "I have the ability to jump up and get the ball. I can break tackles for the short yards and make big things happen when I have the ball. I'm like Terrell Owens.
"But I want to improve my route running. I want to run smoother routes and work on my feet."
He was holding offers from LaTech, Nebraska, TAMU, and Tulane. Apparently had a good camp but LSU never offered him (according to scout.com) I guess he just REALLY wanted to be a Tiger... can you blame him?

could be Miles sees something no other big time coach sees. Only two bcs schools beside lsu on the list are Anm and nebraska. Both are not doing great at recruiting. measureables look ok. don't know man, looks like a reach.

Great point. We have room for this guy and not the third best RB in the country.

According to Scout (which lists him as a WR), he claims "I'm like Terrell Owens." LINK
According to both Scout and Rivals (which lists him as an ATH), he got an offer from Nebraska and aTm.
According to Dandy Don's ranking, he was the #34 best recruit out of Louisiana, tied with WR Javone Lawson LINK

i cant believe people are bitching about LSU picking up another commit. none of you know more than the coaching staff does about this kid. if Les Miles thinks he is LSU material then he is. frick how many stars he has. Congrats to him for working his arse off and getting an offer. im glad he is a tiger!!!!

Is this true or just people starting more rumors? I'd guess the latter.

YEAH, WELL SO DID HESTE...ok, you get it

Saban would have signed this kid and then executed him on signing day just to show the world that no damn two or three star kids, and definitely nobody named Morris, should even aspire to sign with the Tigers.
