People see Will Wade and let their anger cloud their judgement. And it’s like that across multiple sports with Kiffin and Mulkey

I'm not saying Wade is going to have a championship or Final Four team next season. History says he won't. But it is funny to see a handful express "concern" about the current state of affairs on the heels of the worst 4 year period of LSU basketball in three decades. Coincidentally it is many of the same handful who bent over backwards to defend the worst 4 year period of LSU basketball in three decades.

What is the concern? That LSU might be the worst team in the SEC? I'm pretty confident Wade can exceed that "lofty" bar for success

for real, im the biggest positger around and even I knew the last 4 years were horrible

definitely will be better than we have been the last 4 years and thats all we can ask for especially year 1

I dont understand how people can defend these past 4 seasons....we have 1 mediocre season (WHERE WE WERE HORRIBLE IN THE NON CONFERENCE) and 3 terrible seasons

McMahon is the worst LSU basketball coach ever and that's saying something because we also had Trent Johnson but even he at least won the SEC in his first season

Cannot wait for LSU to be relevant again and in the NCAA Tournament yearly

I watched most of the new players highlights. Most of them didn't have a problem draining three's. The general will have whoever we get ready as possible. In his first stent here, his preseason workouts were brutal. And if a player had a lot of turnovers, there was hell to pay. And you bet your arse you won't see Wade on the sidelines with no emotion and arms crossed. Let's ride boys.

Yes. But despite the fact they are all 22-25 years old and have been playing high level D-1 basketball or pro ball for several years, the fact that they haven't been practicing since last month and hanging out at the water park together means they probably can't become a good team in three months.

We'll soon all be longing for those halcyon days of hoping to get that big SEC win in late February to avoid a last place finish

Lmao!!

You just caused he who will go unnamed to have a stroke from his unbridled anger caused by you stating historical facts.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I will point out that once again the former coach was gratuitously inserted into the discussion for no valid reason. I don't believe Wade was provided the big war chest he was given to recruit a team to out perform his predessesor. I would hope he can exceed his own prior accomplishments and finally get to coach his team in the NCAA tournement and maybe win the first national title in program history. But first he musst secure eligibility for half of the roster or quickly find talented and eligible players.

Not sure who is thinking we won't field a team. The "issue" will be installing a system, team chemistry and conditioning. Teams are already playing a lot of basketball together.

What exactly are you concerned about? The system will almost certainly be easier to install than the vaunted Villanova offense lsu was running the last 4 years.

Not surprising you can't read. You can't give any kind of opinion basketball related that I've seen, but critical of something I said years ago. Couldn't even get what I said right. Also not surprising. You're right though buddy, these guys Wade got are so elite and in shape, they don't need to be playing together right now. It's probably better if we start after everyone else.

What a retarded POV. Surely you're not one that feels that way, right?

A friend and I were talking about this

I think a small mid major might take a chance on him but he won’t coach in the p4 or any of the upper mid majors

I don't hate anyone, but I have the right to be concerned about the risk and amount of money our program is spending on guys who can't play together yet, and there's other teams ahead of us. If some of you are really wanting LSU basketball back to prominence, this should frustrate you. Even if every player is given the green light today, there are rival teams that have been conditioning since July 29th, and playing multiple games together. We are behind the eight ball.

Wade is a proven liability as much as he is a proven commodity, is he not?
