It’s a good get, but let’s hope we’re still in the mix with Jefferson, who by his numbers seems to be able to impact a game defensively as much as offensively.

We need some defensive firepower just like we need shooters on the offensive end.

Bringing in talented players is great, obviously. McMahon needs to take that talent and go dancing next March. Why did it take so long for Woody to help men's basketball try and become competitive, and why did McMahon seemingly accept it and do nothing about it?

Ok. I’m starting to get out of my seat. Almost making me a believer.
1 or two more guys. Would like one from a power 5 conf.

Time to go.

If we show we can make the dance next year, I’ll probably join the tip off club the following year. Would be nice if they gave everyone access to the legends club again. Could really mobilize the fans.

Like some have already pointed out, Mcmahon was pretty outspoken about how talented his last recruiting class was.

We will see if Mcmahon grows and changes anything about his coaching philosophy because 14-40 is more than an NIl issue.

I don’t think most people are getting this. He didn’t bring in 5 starters that will take us dancing. He has to coach and keep developing. A player leaving told a former coach he regressed under McMahon. That’s troubling.

A couple didn’t translate to higher competition. The flip side is that Carter had his best season. Most have performed comparably.

I almost hate to ask given your hate, but who was that player?

Wow...no coach ever caused me to regress - even the less than stellar ones

Welcome to todays college sports

Which is why fan support is going to drop precipitously with these selfish school admins and players. They have all ruined college athletics.

Sit back down Mr Ambitious, a couple years ago McGotMore$, brought in the MVC POY, AAC 1st teamer and won a whopping 2 SEC games. I’d sit back down until the shtty pre SEC schedule is over with a 13-1 record, hopes are up and SEC b-ball reality hits. This way you’ll be better rested for the excuses and further decent.

Mcmahon's biggest weakness is he has never had and SEC caliber PG. That can contribute to a players regression. If Thomas ends up being that missing piece it would make the entire team better. We also had bigs that couldn't shoot with the loss of Reed which allowed teams to pack the lane restricting any driving to the goal. That should change this year. This is his most talented team on paper since he has been here. And he's not finished so let's see where he ends up.

It a was Ohio valley, but that’s not important. KJ was excellent for us considering how terrible our guard play was. In no was he responsible for how bad that team was. And cook was the year after when we were 9-9 in conference, although he wasn’t the biggest contributor to wins that season.
