Cautiously optimistic and I feel like a fool for that

My advice as a 1 year little league experienced coach; have the gumbo of the new backcourt\wings press at half court. Entirely new team other than Reed and miller, therefore I see low 3pt numbers and high free throw numbers.

Yea right lol…. It’ll be more of the same next year.

Nice guy. Over his head in this job.

Ben frickin Simmons, dude
Is the guy that got Ben Simmons to LSU still at LSU? That's what I'm asking. I don't see how Ben Simmons could make LSU someone's dream school. You say it like he was Shaq or something.

Yes Coach McMahon keep doing what you know how to do and work hard. Good things will happen regardless of what some of the idiots on here want to believe!

I'm assuming using your logic that McMahon didn't work hard enough years 1 through 3 so bad things happened?

Ben Simmons finally paying off

You mean David Patrick is finally paying off. He's back on stay and reconnecting that Aussie pipeline. He recruited Simmons too.

If we use your logic the cheating WW will still be there lying to the NCAA as usual. Lets not forget how we ended up in this mess and it wasn't' because of MM. So we are actually supporting an ethical coach this time around.

I think we will go as far as the PG takes us. The whole team is built to put shooters around him so either he is a complete floor general and we are good (or at least competitive) or he is another average PG and we get more of the same.

How did a dude from Australia dream of playing basketball at LSU as a kid?Is there is some sort of personal connection or something?

LSU basketball has a long history with Australian players:

Eddie Palubinskas was the first star player of Dale Brown's tenure
Any Campbell 7'4" backup center duriong the Fantastic Climb to the Top , was a fan favorite
Ray Borner , backup center in the 1980s
Duop Reath was a solid player and is now in the NBA
Ben Simmons , one of the most talented players in the history of LSU baketball

Tie me kangaroo down, mate.

It's as if we haven't lived through an era of David Patrick signing rando Australian players

I think it's really cute how you seem to believe that an ethical coach can win big in a top flight conference and in NCAA tournament play.

LSU basketball is screwed with current NIL format. Doesn’t matter who the coach is

And I think its cute how you think they can't when so many have already! Hope you don't have children with your lack of ethics!

I'll have some of what you're drinking. Feel free to join the rest of us in the real world whenever you get a chance.

Oh, and please provide me a list of coaches that have won big in college football or basketball, and done so without having players that were bought and paid for.

In case you want to engage in semantic bullshite, some colleges (that are serious about winning), have the infrastructure in place to facilitate the cheating. That causes dumb asses like yourself to believe certain successful coaches are clean, when that of course is preposterous.

We’ll see if this guy even makes it to campus. This upcoming year is the year for Matt to PRODUCE.

If the 14-40 conference record is any indicator, this is all a moot point.

Of course no response, because you don't have a logical one. Enjoy fantasy land.
