Sent her a LSU emoji on her Instagram page and she liked it if this means anything!

There is still hope .

It typically takes 8 to 12 weeks for international players to get approved by the NCAA Eligibility Center. However, this timeline can stretch to 3 to 6 months during peak periods or if complex amateurism and visa processes are involved
I imagine coming from Russia it won’t run as quick as the girl the Spain. It’s not just getting academically cleared but they have to get the visa too. The SC big Okot had her visa denied 3 times before finally getting approval

Absolutely. She is also following 5 of the current LSU basketball players and two of the coaches including Mulkey on her Instagram. She even follows Angel Reese and Flaujae. So it looks like hope there.

Paul McCartney unwittingly penned the theme for LSU women's lower post play with this chorus:
"Well, the Ukraine girls really knock me out, they leave the West behind....Those Moscow girls make me sing and shout......"

Could go into January, but maybe fall…

January ? If that was the case she would be no help to the team this upcoming season.

Au contraire….I believe she will continue to develop and SEC-Play begins in Spring Semester…Hope springs eternal

There is no news. Otherwise, it would be plastered everywhere, even a rumor. I believe it's gonna happen, but it's not official yet. Nobody is moving according to our deadlines. We'll just all have to chill out until it happens.
I really don't think they sign another guard. That would have happened by now. They have seven already.

Well classes start in 10 weeks, august 24.
So the closer we get to that date the less likely the Russian makes it to campus.

If she places a few bets she will be ruled eligible immediately

The track team signed a Russian Javelin thrower, Alexandra Litvinova, who is on campus currently. So that might be a good sign

Or that may be a sign that the situation has nothing to do with red tape and paperwork and that Minaeva is just not coming.
The team has already started summer practice so it looks like we are rolling with what we have.

If we are, I see Sweet 16 about the ceiling again this year.

I don’t think the summer workouts are mandatory so I don’t know if every one on the roster is participating but I agree it is looking like the roster is complete.

Last week Anna Minaeva won MVP of the annual Russia-China games with an impressive stat line. Hope we can get her over here. She's not just a big- she's a player.

Looks like she has some nice post moves and a little jumper to go with that and she’s only 17.
I was hopeful she’d make it to campus but that hope is fading fast.

I wonder if it has anything to do with her just finishing up high school and possibly other things going on with her. I mean after all she is only 17 still. There could be any number of reasons she hasn't committed yet.
