I think it also means that LSU will be at a severe disadvantage with potential EE recruits. Staff will have to be extra diligent in contacting this kids and keeping the EE on track. It's just more energy they have to dedicate to an issue other teams will not, thereby slowing down their overall recruiting.

Maybe you can help me out. Here is what I have observed, correct me if I am wrong.
The SEC office has not traditionally been a regulatory body. They left that to the NCAA.
In the past few years they have taken on more policing responsibilities.
From my perspective, they have been very selective with their new powers. If fact, this and the Valentine deal (had to sit out even after the NCAA gave him the green light) are the only two examples that I know of.
Maybe I am just unaware of other SEC schools receiving sanctions, but it feels like persecution.

Who hires the compliance office workers for LSU? I've heard from several recruits and their families that these guys are borderline anti LSU.

So, if a school knows you've signed a kid to an FAA, then met with him, as allowed, beyond the normal rules, they can then turn up the recruiting heat on him and if they can get a flip, they force sanctions on you?
Yeah, that makes sense.
Yeah, that makes sense.

Sooooo......how come Bama gets out of this Scott free? And frick that Womack kid also! He knew what he was doing and did it anyway. Hell I'm sure BAMA paid him anyway.

Because they just don't self report their violations like we do.

If Saban took Womack to mess with LSU his plan sure did backfire: Toby and Chidi all day over Womack.

Why doesn't LSU tell the NCAA to go frick themselves? Where is their power? How come this shite just comes out of nowhere and other schools(like Miami, bama, Auburn, Miss st) have very public bs and nothing fricking happens?

He's tweeting about it now. The whole thing seems a little suspicious. Also he will never play so he can continue his 5 pizza a day regimen.

And I realize this is an NCAA rule, but there's no way this happened without SEC approval and /or Alabama involvement.
On the same day that Slive is inducted into the Alabama sports hall of fame. Awesome. The SEC and NCAA don't even bother pretending anymore.

This is a raw deal for our Tiger brethren. Kick their asses on the field!!!

He didn't enroll at LSU so LSU coaches broke the rule that is very clear. Don't see how it can be seen any other way.
You are justifying an illogical rule by pointing out that it is a rule.

Womack, Saban, Bama, Hootie for trying this shite last year, and especially the SEC.

Yall need to redirect your anger away from Womack and towards our own Bo Bahnsen. He is no friend of LSU.
We self reported this and its absolutely ridiculous.
