from what I heard what took place with Bama and the Womack family, this is par for the course.

LSU is probably happy they are not part of the program.

Why would LSU sign an FAA and Spring Enroll a kid who was on the fence?

Maybe some will finally realize how much scum fills the SEC HQ. This office exists for one purpose. They have proven time and again they will ggo to any length to cheat. Their impartial treatment of the 14 universities should not be permitted.

It's time to fire EVERYONE and relocate the HQ out of the Gump State. If that's not possible, it's time to contact other conference schools and form a new conference.

Screw the SEC!!!

The rule was very specific of the ramifications if the kid changed his mind and went elsewhere. That part is on the coaches. They knew the kid was flip flopping and still contacted him outside the rules. Don't blame them but they knew the rule and broke it

That's kind of disingenuous.

They didn't "break" any rule. They get unlimited contact with the FAA. They're only in trouble if the kid doesn't do what he says he's going to do.

I thought the whole point of the FAA was to allow coaches to make sure others aren't trying to flip them, hence the unlimited contact.

Isn't it commonplace for kids to sign more than one FAA?? So wouldn't a team always get screwed in that situation???

frick Womack, Saban, Bama, Hootie for trying this shite last year, and especially the SEC.

I honestly wish we would head to the ACC or Big 12. We constantly get the shaft for the Bama teams.

My big concern is how this impacts Savion. Isn't he an early enrollee??? Does this mean he can't have financial aid for the spring semester???

Not sure if he cant have the financial aid or if he just cant sign the FAA until he is enrolled. Not sure why if he wants to enroll he couldn't apply for Financial Aid like every other student.

This is the kind of BS that I believe Nick Saban himself is capable of promoting. He is a paranoid little midget and he knows that he must have 4x talent to have any chance to win championships. He also knows that LSU is his biggest threat in recruiting and he would do anything to maintain an advantage. Us getting some highly ranked Alabama kids on campus last weekend is a start. If we can start winning the 1-1 battles for OOS kids, I believe it will be the beginning of the end for Saban. When people start to get the fact that no coach before him has EVER had such an advantage with 7 or 8 #1 recruiting classes, it will diminish his achievements as a coach.

His fricking "process" starts and ends with him having a distinct advantage on the field. Les Miles has been playing checkers while Saban is playing chess. If nothing else, we have significant inside knowledge with Steele and a new coach (O) which can hang with Saban. If everyone doesn't see the next move by Saban, you haven't been paying attention. What could Saban do to hurt LSU?

Saban will eventually go after Orgeron and we will find out how much O really wants to be in Louisiana. I hope he's here to stay. TAF and our AD will ultimately decide how that scenario plays out.

Read the rule. I read it when it was made last spring and told people to beware of it because its dangerous. It very clearly states that if the kid doesn't sign with your school, that the school is subject to violating contact rules. That's what happened. It doesn't matter that the kid was committed. What mattered is where he enrolled. He didn't enroll at LSU so LSU coaches broke the rule that is very clear. Don't see how it can be seen any other way.

That doesn't mean I think the rule is right or that the punishment is justified bit, per the rules clear wording, our coaches broke the rule. There is nothing disingenuous about what I said. Just facts.

I feel pretty sure the sanctions will be softened after the appeal. But the SEC does give zero fricks about LSU, so who knows.

Also to your point, yes it does mean any school that signs a kid that signed multiple agreements is gonna be guilty if they contact outside of the rules and don't enroll the kid. Why I think there will be, and must be, other violators.

Also your second paragraph makes the point that they broke the rule. They made unlimited contact and didn't enroll the kid. That is breaking the rule. The rule is clear. All of the rule not just the part expaling the advantages of the faa. Have to read the part about the disadvantages as well. Our staff was fine all the way up to the point that Womack enrolled at Bama. At that point, rules broken.

All this simply means is that Shorty is scared of LSU's recent staff/recruiting improvements and he knows he must do everything to politically attack our program....as for the white trash that we were dealing with, just add them to the garbage bin that Shorty lives in....lol....jmho

Just have to hope the sanctions weren't our own recommendation like in the DJ McCarthy crap. We tend to overpunish ourselves. If its our own recommended punishment then there will be no appeal. If not our recommendation then appeal, appeal, appeal. Knowing the NCAA it will probably be worse

That kid is trouble and his dad is a punk. He was a 3 star talent that played the hype game from one "commitment" to the next. I believe that Saban took him as much to frick with LSU as anything. Let's just wait and see how this kid does against the highest level competition. I predict that daddy will be moving him to a better opportunity after he's sitting on the bench for 2 years.

So NCAA/SEC making example of LSU? Go figure. Surely LSU is not the only school that "violated" this new rule.

Hard not to feel a little paranoid.

I've always thought he was a ringer for the guy on the right.

We are the first of MANY schools that this has/will happen to.

Hell, Bama may be guilty as well.
