That Nike NIL money coming in. Wonder how long it is before Maryland also does it. Dante is good and you can never have too many QBs however I think it would be best to have more of a bridge QB this year and hit a big fish next year. Just my opinion.

In the age of the one free transfer rule I don't get too terribly worried about missing on a top QB recruit. Currently, 3 of the top 10 QB prospects of 2021 have already transferred to different schools (Ewers, Williams, Dart). It's reasonable to think there may be a few more of that group who will transfer after this upcoming season

That's not to say LSU shouldn't do everything possible to recruit and sign great QB prospects. It just that the transfer rules have made it MUCH easier to recover from recruiting misses

You certainly want to get the best prospect available, but if you can find a kid that has talent and is willing to sit on your roster and develop instead of transferring when they aren't named starter day 1 I think that's a win.

Can’t be, they say we suck at recruiting

The same schools that are throwing money at teenagers right now will swing whatever dick they have to prevent transfers as soon as it hurts them.

IMO, any player should able to transfer for immediate eligibility at any time. The only restriction should be whatever the academic calendar provides.

Money doesn't mean as much if you can start right now somewhere else. That's how you keep the top 3 or 4 teams from owning everything.

If a kid chooses to stay at a school for only money where they are not playing quality minutes after year 2 then they already have the wrong motivation and LSU wouldn't want them.

He’s one of four pocket passers still uncommitted in the top forty QBs (PP)
