LSU has been constantly remodeling buildings the last 15 years. Not sure what the OP actually expects.

Yeah I'm pretty confused. LSU has been renovating like crazy.

And when Saban retires or dies, Bama will fall back to the shithole it was before him. Those recruits won’t go there, even with all the fancy buildings.

Depends who has next. I wouldn’t be surprised though if they drop a step or two. Folk saying Kirby or Dabo but they’ve literally built and established their own identities elsewhere at elite powers. Why be under Nick’s shadow even more AT Alabama when you could just continue to face them.

Ohio State was on a downward trajectory until they got Urban after Tressel. Texas hasn’t found ANY solution yet since Mack, USC just got Lincoln after years of mediocrity. Michigan struggled after Carr’s departure, FSU haven’t recovered from Jimbo’s train wreck, Oklahoma may be the next program to face it. Point is, Alabama isn’t immune to it, as all mighty powers eventually see struggle, so I see your point.

Well this the Tiger recruiting board for athletics. Maybe you should go to the board for non athletes.

There are upgrades happening all over campus if you pay attention

New veterinarian/animal sciences building just opened

Huey P Long building will be opening soon

New arts building is being worked on after fitting the old one

This. Several new dorms and new on campus apartments over last 5 years. They also just started a new multi-year project by the lakes.

The LSU athletic facilities are among the top in the country, and that's what matters the most to the players.

Some parents (not us) cannot afford off campus living —- and their kids (especially Bama) are on scholarship. Therefore, they do stay on campus.

I have already done the math. Does not cost any more to stay on or off campus.

Do you realize that over 65% of Bama’s current enrollment is out of state?

LSU is the exact opposite.

sounds like you have a Bama hard on

Also, these dorms allow for co-eds on all floors. My son has numerous “floor” parties — where guys / chicks go from one room to the next. This is before & after they go out into T-town

As a father of girls I’m saying frick all that.

The funds for athletics are completely separate from academic funds unless athletics decides to give money to that side of the ledger. Athletic facilities are funded by TAF, boosters, and profit from sports that warn a profit. ie football

You have to go see both campuses. LSU looks run down on a comparative basis.

When you walk into a dorm “center” like one of the main ones on Bama’s campus - PRESIDENTS 1 or PRESIDENTS 2, you’ll run into many Bama athletes, basketball
, baseball & football.

Picture 2 large 6-7 story dorm facilities — laid out in a “v” shape — with a large community center attached to both in the middle. That middle area is a multi use space for both of those dorms. A main fitness gym, food court area, lounges area.

Also, these dorms allow for co-eds on all floors. My son has numerous “floor” parties — where guys / chicks go from one room to the next. This is before & after they go out into T-town

The dorm room is about 1000 sq ft - with two single private bedrooms and bathrooms on both sides —- and a kitchen and large “den area” in between both.

He has several football players coming over —- b/c the fine arse blondes are on his floor —- and other floors.

This sounds like west campus apartments when I was at LSU 15 years ago.

Is this not the case anymore?

I've seen both. As a whole bama does look newer but it's super cookie cutter. LSU has done a lot to improve the campus but it still has a couple of bad spots. But on the whole it's much prettier than bama.

We need ti separate the “normal” students from thr athletes- that said the main campus is in need up updating. The area around the south portion of the stafium is downright ugly. Especially the area around the 1950s era jet fighter. Exposed utility structures pipes etc.

So all we need to do is build a complete new campus and move Tigerland down the road closer. well that should be easy. how bout we just start with making sure the athletic facilities, dorms, and education center where the smart kids do the athletes work is comfortable. why worry about the looks of classrooms and class buildings that athletes rarely step foot in. If classrooms are good then beef up the kinesiology department and that will cover most athletes. problem solved.

Yep. Already happened there after CPB and Gene Stallings.
