It’s time for y’all to accept that tier one schools run this sport If a tier one school wants an elite recruit in Baton Rouge, there’s nothing LSU can do about it
Ok, that’s idiotic

Remember that a loss in the Championship pretty much guaranteed Ryan Day was out at OSU. Miss out in 2025 and he's going to be facing "what have you done for me lately" talk and more death threats to his family. The kid may never get to even practice in Spring 2026 under Day. He'll be off to the NFL.

Are they not? Have you never left Baton Rouge to have a comparison or?

Not every kid from Louisiana wants to stay in Louisiana.... regardless of the money

The closer they are to LSU, the more they can't wait to get away. Maybe some might want to look at the environment and start with the city of BR itself.
It's more than just a bag. He'd get paid at LSU too.

Didn’t LSU sign his brother who is a safety as well? Is it possible he doesn’t want to compete with his older brother?
I’m sure mom and dad are going to love trying to attend games on Saturdays.

Not competing. LSU signed his brother only to pull him. He opened negotiations nothing more, he wants the bank roll from LSU.

You don't really think this is why kids are committing to schools like Oregon, Ohio state, Michigan do you?

When he gets there Caleb down will just have left so 1 spot should be up for grabs.
OSU has a huge donor base, deep pockets same facilities, bigger school and just won a natty.
LSU & BK need to step it up it’s time to WIN!

I can’t believe you guys are getting worked up over this.
I can. It’s what immature kids do.

They'll still easily make the playoff. A kid going to ohio state these days is pretty much guaranteed to have a great shot at a natty in a 3-4 year career. LSU has to fight super hard to just make the playoff.
One plays in a real conference, and the other is OSU

He isn’t going to Ohio State chill people

It’s a done deal. OSU has every measurable advantage over LSU. It’s just the way it is.
Tier 1 schools will always win out.
LSU will get the occasional local kid who gives LSU the hometown discount. Bradford gave no such discount

Reading through the thread, it became clear to me that I must be one of the few actual LSU graduates here. I loved my LSU years, got a fine education and had a successful career.
Most here seem to be hot in their drawers to say how bad LSU and Baton Rouge are, so they certainly didn't make the conscious decision to attend the University.
Why some are on a recruiting board trashing LSU says more about their insecurities and shortcomings than it does about LSU.

Ohio State > Texas, Tennessee
Michigan > Alabama
Illinois > South Carolina
USC > LSU, Texas ATM
I guess the SEC did win a few vs non bowl teams. Only missouri won vs a bowl B1G team.

Can’t lose something you never had

You're applying an experience you likely had years ago. BR isn't the same city it was 10-20 years ago. It has gotten considerably worse over time. Anyone who has lived there should know this.
Your post reads like a city stays static and never evolves to something better or worse. In BR's case, it's much worse than it has been in the past few decades. And yes, I did attend and moved out of BR. It's not shocking if someone wants to leave the city for greener pastures which sometimes happens here in recruiting even in NIL. Is it happening here? Don't know. Wouldn't be surprising if it's one of the reasons with obviously a bag. He'd get paid at LSU too.
I can see why he'd go to Ohio Stare over LSU right now. Much better on defense, more consistency there, money, development which LSU has struggled lately with DBs, his environment in BR, etc.
