Hopefully the combination of Grimes and Frank will rebuild the fence around here.

Hey, as long as they're bringing in quality recruits, it shouldn't matter from where. But at the same time, you can't let guys like Speedy and Robinson go out of state, a rival to some, and to a team WE PLAY EVERY YEAR.

True. I hope Grimes has already been working on Tillery from S'port.

What position is he? What's his rank as well?
Posted on 1/17/14 at 10:39 am to Camo Tiger 337
OT. A top lineman. Has all the skills necessary to succeed at CFB level.
That would be one of the longest longshots in recent history if Grimes would pull that off. Kid loves ND. That's how you start your new job off with a Bang, a Boom, and How You Like Me Now!!

Shows LSU didn't even offer him and he's right down the street from us! Hopefully Grimes pulls it off. Or maybe if we had someone to help in Shreveport; like what Mo Claiborne did with T. White.

Guys like Battle and Voorhies get almost none of the talk but they're just as good.
Definitely under the radar, relatively, speaking - early commits get lost in the shuffle sometimes.
Deondre Clark is in this category, too - hope we keep him.

Wait you mean to tell me there a NINE guys ranked ahead of him?

Yea I seen a piece about him on DandyDon.

One more tie-bit about this year’s recruiting class: Yesterday I learned that LSU DE commit Deondrre Clark of Oklahoma City adamantly re-confirmed his commitment to LSU in an interview with BayouBengalsInsiders. Considering all the rumblings about him staying closer to home, that is great news for LSU

Offer the in-state studs and go after all the big Out-of-State studs. First one that commits accept and move on.
LSU has a history of pursuing in-state-recruits vigilantly and not 'turning the heat up' on OOS studs until the In-State recruits choose to go elsewhere and then LSU is far behind in the recruiting process.
LSU's 'bread and butter' has been the top 12-15 in-state recruits. I would love to see this continue, but if the in-state recruits feel their 'pot-of-gold' is in Florida or Texas or California or Alabama, LSU should try to convince out-of state recruits their 'pot-of-gold' can be found in Louisiana.
I really hope all the future in-state top recruits WANT to come to LSU and play for their home state. If LSU is to continue to have 10 win seasons and increasing numbers of Louisiana's top recruits go out of state, the staff has no alternative but to go out-of-state with more intensity.

Uh, isn't Brumfield the #1 OG?

And Garrett is the composite #1 OLB. So based on the various rating sites I guess we have 4 #1's comitted.

truth....since saban and especially with Miles our national footprint is established and flourishing quite nicely. we're in a lot better shape than many of the nega's think. yeah...it's a bite to lose kids to bama and tam but the reality is they are quality programs with quality coaches and now that we are flanked recruiting-wise it will always be a battle to keep our share. seaux it geauxs.

His last 2 classes at LSU were light in olinemen. That's why we had some guys move from the defensive side of the ball. It caught up to us in 08.

They are shitting this board up.
