I would trade to take Beard over McMoribund in a nanosecond!!!

Beard is not long for Ole Miss. It’s his rehab stint. Credit OM for being bold and telling the virtue signalers to frick off by hiring him though.
The question will be which wealthier program shells out to get him in a year or two?

I could see Calipari's seat getting hot if he doesn't make a run next year with the level that they are recruiting and amount that he's getting paid. Assuming beard has success at OM which I'm sure he will, he would probably be at the top of Kentuckys list

Also just to show the flaw in On3's rankings, it's pretty clear that Chris Beard is doing extremely well in the portal. But bc they have 5 players transferring out, they are ranked #44

The fact that at least 4 people downvoted this tells you all you need to know about the Woodward fan club.

The fact that you defend a Coach who chokes, tells me everything, maybeDave Bliss could join him

Who did I defend? Just said I’d rather have Beard coaching my program than MM.
Guess if we’re saying coaches that have faced domestic violence allegations need not apply, we better give back the 2019 CFP title.

I certainly hope Jalen Cook gets to play here next season.
On a trivial note, he would be the rare player who returns to LSU after leaving. The only other one I recall is Linear Burns.

Memphis transfer Malcolm Dandridge tells TPR that he has received interest from:
Kansas State
Saint Louis
Kansas
Western Kentucky
Auburn
Oklahoma State
Tulsa
UCF
USF
BYU
LSU
Austin Peay
Cal
UT Arlington
Penn State
Also it would be a lot easier to scour Twitter for updates like this if that powerhour dickhead would change his Twitter @ from “Portal King”

His recruiting write up:
Looks like a really good pick up with tons of potential
quote:
Collins is a painfully thin and bouncy hybrid four-man with long arms. He is quick off the floor as an explosive leaper and is very mobile with good hands. He finishes with strength around the rim and is developing as a scorer facing the basket. Defensively, Collins is a high-level shot-blocker who is one of the best in that area of the game in the senior class. He is more than capable of rebounding outside his area. Collins is still a little raw offensively in general but has made leaps and bounds in his game over the years. With his tremendous upside, he is likely to do the same playing under John Calipari.

I want to say we are filled up on Scholarships unless someone is coming in as a walk on

Wow! So excited to see Daimion Collins will be transferring to LSU Men's Basketball! Back on May 2nd I listed him among desired options for the "player with size" that we needed from among the final two scholarships.
*Daimion Collins from Kentucky just entered the portal last week and will have 2 years of eligibility. He only played 7-8 minutes per game but was stuck behind Oscar Tshiebwe. He was a Parade All-American, has great athleticism and screams potential. He had a rough season losing his father and grandfather and is likely looking to get closer to home. LSU looks to be about a 5 hour drive to where he lived in Texas so could be realistic.
At the time there wasn't really anything linking him to LSU but this is a huge pickup and expect himself, Baker, and Fountain to share the majority of minutes at the Power Forward and Center positions along with a smaller dose of Dean. This is someone with insane athleticism and potential who really needed an opportunity to get more minutes. He provides a strong shot blocking presence and has demonstrated flashes of a post game and perimeter shot along with being an elite lob threat. Great finish to the class and really looking forward to seeing how he will add to a much improved roster. He has two years of SEC experience and two years of eligibility.

We now have apparently 13 players on scholarship. Since we supposedly self-imposed a 1 scholarship penalty on ourselves, have we gone back on that imposition, or are one of these players on an academic scholarship, or are one of these players getting extra NIL to compensate them for losing their scholarship? Does anyone have any inside information?
Posted on 5/27/23 at 10:23 am to Lapaz
I don't think there ever was a scholarship penalty
Posted on 5/27/23 at 11:42 am to Lapaz
We self imposed it. The NCAA hasn’t closed the case after 5 years. At this point you just tell them to shove it. There are college athletes making millions of dollars now. It would be idiotic to still give sanctions out.
Posted on 5/27/23 at 5:57 pm to Tigerfan14
I’m going to speculate that we might not have given that scholarship to an average player, but Dairon’s potential was too good to pass up.
