While Oregon is a good team, its not LSU. Given the opportunity, I'm sure most kids would make the jump for a better shot at a Natty.

I think hes top 100 prospect. you can forget his postseason because of the broken hand. its actually a plus that he produced what he did with that injury.

I have no affiliation here but ran across a YouTube show called LSU baseball insider or something with host named armstrong last night. He had a draft expert type guest on who seemed really knowledgable and did a detailed breakdown player by player of alll the lsu commits, their strengths and how they project to go in the draft and likelihood to make it to campus.
Really informative. Also looked at current players and their draft projections /likelihood to go pro or not.
Finally he talked about the portal gets so far. Said Simpson is an extremely explosive player and if his hit tool translates to SEC could be the 3 hole hitter next year.

Bummed about Larson in the portal. I know he didn't play much this year but he's got talent for sure. I guess he didn't see himself as a full time starter on next year's team. Perhaps I'm being blindly optimistic, but maybe he put himself in before the deadline, will wait out the draft and see what happens and decide from there on whether to stay or go. That's probably a foolish hope, but still.

I figured he was leaving, but when as the portal closing got closer, thought maybe he was staying. Would have hoped to keep Larson and Ryan.

Hate that I'm agreeing with a troll like you, but I've been getting more excited by the Simpson addition the more I look into him. Seems similar to Luis, Big production from a smaller school with a small bit of draft risk.
