I think its looking like next year will be a high ba plus contact team ,more than power,unless frey stays unexpectedly or the transfer infielders keep their power numbers against sec competition.
even if the guy from high point doesn't hit 20 plus homers I think he will still bat over 315 and the k state kid can do the same.
there will be some power though with milam ,brown , arrambide ,and Pearson though,the more I think about it. arrambide will hit 15 bombs no problem

Definitely need to pick up another catcher out the portal. Not just to back up Arrambidie, but to compete for the spot. I like Arrambidie and think he'll be good, but there needs to be competition too. Gonna be interesting to see the Jones situation. I feel he'll go, so likely Frey replacing him there, but again, need competition. Need to pick up an OF or two as well. Larson if he stays, but again, there needs to be competition.

I personally don't see Jones or Frey coming back. Both are top 200 prospects and have draft slot evaluations over 500K. Jones came back last year because he was a draft eligible sophomore and would have leverage again this year. If either do that now, they could end up in a Gavin Dugas situation where you get drafted in the 6th round but only end up with a 20K signing bonus because you don't have any other option than to sign since you are out of eligibility.

I dont see him as a 2 way for LSU. Hes a power hitter but the 60 strikeouts is a concern.

I doubt CJJ just let him go I want to give the kid and other freshman credit for seeing the college baseball landscape for what it is right now. CJJ values experience and the kid needed to get some somewhere before he gets to hit the field at the box....especially on the INF.

I’ve never wanted anyone to make good going into the portal more than Mic Paul. I hope that dude goes somewhere solid and is an all conference player
