Obviously we need to be able to keep Serna and Bide in the lineup at the same time. Yamin afforded us that last year. Is there someone else coming in that can catch in an emergency situation

Not that I neccessarily think this means anything, but Milam changed his instagram profile picture to a screenshot of the moment Jay reacted (with a smirk) to Cauble's comment about "Milam is for sure gone, right?"

Also, and not that this is a surprise, but Jay specifically mentioned the following as guys who "benefited a ton from playing" this year (and will be back next year):

Evans
Schmidt
Bide
Serna
Braun
Paz
Lachenmeyer
Plog
Patrick
Ruckert

Again, not a surprise, but i know some people on here were speculating about Lachemneyer and Plog.

I do wonder that, in the event of some Milam news, we see Pearson enter the portal. Unless he's a 15+ HR and .900+ OPS guy, I can't imagine him playing over Park/Ruckert, and the DH spot is taken between Serna/Bide/Braun.

It's been all Ole Miss or Arkansas until recently Florida has made a big push. He's visiting there this weekend. LSU still hasn't contacted him.

Hawsey is just a tough fit due to Arrambide, Serna, and Braun. And Pearson, to a lesser extent.

As mentioned before, Park was taken to play 3rd.

Will see how next month plays out but don’t write off Milam and Curiel just yet

Curiel is youngest in this draft class and wants $4 million bonus
Milam wants $1.5
That’s very aggressive

He's consistently being projected at picks that would require a significant haircut to get the bonus DOWN to $4 million. Even the pick that is largely considered his floor has a bonus slot well above that.

What you're saying makes zero sense.

The numbers are already tight. I can see easily 21 pitchers and 17 position players after the draft is over.

How many portal players do we add?

Are roster limits enforced by the NCAA? Seems like there's no way they could deny a player a spot

Just my guess:
1- INF (3B if Milam is gone)
1- OF (hopefully someone versatile that can play CF)
3- P (hopefully at least 2 of these LHP and 1 that is a top end portal guy)

Pete Nakos released an article (not sure how connected he is on baseball).

According to him, we are not in the mix on any of the following:

1. Savioe (Clemson C/OF)
2. Martin (Tenn INF)
3. Hanoian (Air Force INF)
4. Cooper (TX State RHP)
5. Boyle (Purdue INF)
6. Jones (Coastal RHP)
7. Winer (Coastal LHP/1B)

Jones and Winer are already committed to USCe. The rest are all "trending" non-LSU.

He's not. He's generally a plagiarist and info thief that doesn't attribute.

I heard we're starting to make a push for the Tulane OF

I wasn't sure if we'd go for two LHH OFs, but it makes sense with a lot of our impact bats being RH.

Same.

There is also a lot being made of his visit to Tennessee on social media right now.

So I'd especially like to lock him up after that and really take Tennessee's lunch money after all the shite they talked about getting a guy from Louisiana that took a huge overpay to lock up.
