Short isn’t the only thing that comes to mind with this build.

I agree with Tucker as well. I'm not giving up on Pearson. If he develops defensively, similar to Tommy White defensively at 3B and Pearson continues to progress offensively, than who knows.
Tucker is very promising. I would not be surprised Tucker being the 3B next year. There is also the other option, that one of those infielders could move to 3B. Not to mention incoming freshman, like Romero.

Pearson likely won't get drafted, he's a four year player
I agree

Some smoke on another board that Osbolt and Belding are the two roster casualties. Unconfirmed obviously but would make sense.

Carrone covered that on this board last night. I think it's on the last page. I think he's also the source on the other board.

I think its far more likely Pearson is the odd man out at 3B. With Dawson Park and Tucker coming in Pearson would have to take massive steps forward.

It depends how Ruckert, Loew, Martinez and Tucker develop. It also depends if Pearson goes in the draft next year. What freshman will make it to campus? Does Minnatee stick around? We ;have 11 infielders this year, it could be less next year. Even if some leave to portal, some recruits and Pearson get drafted, there will still be a number crunch.
I get what you are saying, but Jay has just proven that he won’t rely on guys who are on the bench that he is hoping to take the next step. Sometimes, it’s to his own detriment when he gets a below average transfer that just blocks a younger guys development. That’s been talked about a few times here.

On Mik’d up, they said this class has no DES. Jay said we do have 1. I was wondering who that was. Thanks.

The 1 DES he was referring to was Bradyn Cupit. I mentioned yesterday that there were none but after looking at birthdays again I missed that one.

Sounds like Jay is really high on Loew defensively as well. I was thinking maybe he would move to 2B or 3B but they way Jay talked about him and having Milam be a role model this year to him it seems like Jay thinks he can stick at SS.

That also confirms Murphy will sign with the Nats as expected

I agree he will sign, but it really confirms that he won't be at LSU whether he signs or not.
I think they'll be able to find the money for him though.

Houston, Castillo & Lopez all look like they can play SEC level SS. This next class is truly loaded

I wonder if Jordan Martinez might be asked to try catching. He's apparently got a big arm. He's played 3B, so he might have the hands to do it. I know nothing of his overall athleticism or bend. But it could be an option.
There has been actual talk of him pitching some.

Koa Romero can catch, btw. I don't know if that's something Jay is considering with the class.

Hirschkorn for $3.99mil from the Braves

Not $5m, but certainly seems like he stuck to his number.

Braves went like $3MM under slot with Gracia and then paid each of their 8-10 rounders $500 a piece.
