Looking at Nats draft history in rounds 11-20 last year, other than their 11th round pick who they inked for $50,000 over the base $150,000, 7 of the 9 rounds were signed right at the base and 2 did not sign (rounds 17 and 19), 1 of which was HS player. And that’s with the nearly $3,000,000 they saved on Eli Willits’ signing. They did have to go well over $1M over slot on all 3 of the guys they drafted out of HS in rounds 1-10.
ETA: In 2024, the Nats drafted 1 HS in rounds 11-20, which was their 15 round pick, who they signed for $500,000 for $350,000 over slot.
Both years, the Nats essentially maxed out their pool amounts at 104.98% and 104.89% before hitting the penalty threshold.

Miss St just had a top-80 signee go in 17th round to the Padres. One for them to sweat out.

On mobile so can’t link at the moment but UGA LHP Bradley Stewart just entered the portal. Can hit 100. Says he has 3 years left.
1. It doesn’t appear we’re on him (yet) based off of social media followings;
2. I thought the window was closed?
Just someone of note given our apparent LHP need.

Looks like he didn't pitch this year (Injured in February) and redshirted last year.

Whoever joked about them letting Jay do the scouting was right. Could fire some scouts and free up a bunch of administrative money and just snag lsu guys from here on out

I dunno but I kindly ask that you do some of that research that you did on the Nationals but now on the Pirates

As of right now was P. Sides drafted? What does Pitt have to offer Washington?

Going to move on from the Nats draft analysis after this…
Since the new 20 round draft format in 2021, the Nationals have drafted 6 HS players in rounds 14-20 and have only signed 2 of them.

Everyone’s going to overanalyze like when Neal and Noot were drafted late 2022 and were sure they would sign.

Not informed enough to say anything else about the rest of their picks.

We need one more RBI from Curiel

Pellegrin will go over slot for Detroit, and they drafted Will Adams today. I think Adams is a goner, but they'll have to keep wiggling money around. Pellegrin was not happy with his slot value but they got him where he wanted (or close enough).
