One of comments on his thread mentioned HS will committ to LSU tomorrow.
We're after a couple HS pitchers. One of them from Texas just touched 100. Josh Horvath is the kids name, wonder if it's him.
ETA: Tre Cole is the other possiblity.

It was from comment reader. I believe it was one of our OF taking out of his name of draft.

Armstrong still believes Park to SS. I personally think he will get some playing time at SS, but I believe Milam will be SS when SEC rolls in. Armstrong mentioned Park has been playing at SS this summer.

Hell yeah.
So is that the outfield or do we try and find one more?

I don’t think he understands how the Cape cod league works. Each team has a GM, they build rosters well in advance.
If they brought Park to play SS & others to play 3B, they aren’t just going to change everything up because Park may not play there for LSU. With Milam returning last minute there wasn’t much time to pivot and fulfill the request to get Park time at other spots. Even so, a SS can move to 3B rather easily. It’s not rocket science.
Looking at the roster there is only one other SS (Owen Paino) who has not taken an AB yet. So yes, Park is playing SS. This type of exercise is called confirmation bias on Armstrong’s part and it kinda sucks there’s an audience for this.

Nate Davis reminds me a lot of Curiel. I think he can have a role

Is Nate Davis a draft eligible sophomore?

No. Only 2 recruits are DES. Anthony Murphy and CJ Weinstein as far as I know.
Which also goes into the conversation from earlier with Armstrong eluding to a HS recruit who is 50/50 type to make it to campus possibly decommitting. He didn't mention name of who it was but talked about last minute returners at same position and also if the guy would be a DES then he may look to decommit and look somewhere else. CJ Weinstein fits both of those.

The Cape is heavily built by scouts as well. They want a book on Park playing SS for next years draft. All the more important for him to do it this summer if the expectation is that he will play other positions at LSU.

It was 100% Weinstein. He pulled up a spreadsheet for a moment and had Weinstein marked as decommitted.

Yeah he was the only recruit that wasn’t highlighted in a particular color. It was just white and black

Anybody thinking Milam isn't starting at SS is just being silly IMO,

I can’t believe I wasted 9 minutes of my life watching Armstrong’s video trying to explain why the best defense SS in LSU baseball history was going to spend his senior year at a position other than SS. While Milam may get some days off in the field or even some “rehab” type games at 2B if truly recovering from a shoulder injury, there is no team-centric reason based in logic - at least in June of 2026 - for a decision to have been made and a plan set in place for Milam to start meaningful games at any other position in 2027.
