I hope Jay gets a commit during the delay. Got nothing better to do.

I know he said we’re being selective this year but I’d love to see a Tiger emoji.

this is dumb AF....bottomline is, if you are invited to the combine and feel you can make a good showing where you have one or more attributes that are showcase worthy...you attend.

the worst that can happen is you fall in the draft, best thing that can happen is you shoot up some board and have leverage one way or another

but it in no way means they are leaning any which way.

Now the question is which school is he recruiting him to?

He'd be a nice starter for Duke. Don't see him starting at LSU.

McDaniels latest mock has Kade #1 and Young #40. I scrolled quickly and may have missed others.

Young had a good showing at the MLB Combine yesterday. Seems he will likely stay in that late first round/supplemental first round area of picks.

Brandon Cain from Oklahoma is in the portal. He was the outfielder they put in to pitch against us. He's in the portal as a pitcher. He's been up to 98mph this summer.

Lorenzo Cain's relative, nephew maybe.

It’s just hard to imagine being a recruit or a guy in the portal and seeing what CJJ is building and being like…”nah I’m gonna take my talents somewhere else.”

Best coach in college baseball
I've been thinking that this whole post season.

In Omaha alone, Jay has
1. Started a freshman every game in Curiel
2. Closed the opener and resumed game 2 with a freshman in Evans
3. Gone to a freshman in a huge spot in Williams against UCLA
4. Pinch hit a freshman in two huge spots in Pearson
5. Started a non P5 transfer in the biggest game of the season in Cowan
6. Started a non P5 transfer in game 2, and will run him out there for game 2 in the finals in Eyanson

This doesn't even count the transfers starting, the guys who have been here under his tenure and have gotten better, the exposure and notoriety that comes with being an LSU baseball player, the fan support. All of it. shite, he has like 8 guys who aren't on the post season roster in the dugout and bullpen, fully dressed out. He has a guy in the portal that's with the team in Omaha.

I get that I'm a huge homer, but I truly don't understand why a college baseball transfer or high school recruit of importance would go anywhere else. It's just different here.

I’m worried about the high school class being decimated by the draft but it’s impossible to doubt jay I just know we’ll have some big surprises and probably some huge portal surprises too
