Do you think Stanfield has a spot in the outfield? Penciling him in feels like Jay would be lacking power again. I get the defense and other aspects, but feels like Curiel is playing CF.

I've thought about that too. It'll be an interesting situation if it comes to fruition. Maybe, if Stanny comes back, they try and put some more lift in his swing? He's got the strength I think, but the shape of his swing results in pretty much exclusively ground balls/line drives.

I think it would be a great problem to have, however unlikely it is.

I hope they bully Antigua off the team.

He’s been one of our best hitters through SEC play and a huge piece of an Omaha team. Seems like a great teammate and general dude as well. I’d have to imagine he has a spot if he come back.

If he comes back, he could immediately slot into Pearson's role as a veteran OF who can be a platoon bat, full-time starter, defensive/injury replacement, and mentor. Put him in LF so Curiel gets his shot at CF. If he's the 3rd or 4th OF, you're sitting pretty.

Brayden Simpson is playing for Tri-City in the Coastal Plain League right now. He's played 3B and SS in two games.

Seth Dardar is playing with Newport in the NECBL and has played 1B. Newport gets a lot of games on ESPN+, so there may be opportunities to watch him there.

Came here to see what the story with this kid was. #1 prospect in LA for 2026. His stuff can’t be bad if Texas is using a spot on him.

holton is a kid who has made a huge push up the leaderboards last 2 years. He has a very very live arm and has done really well on the travel circuit. LSU did not offer.

Texas prolly getting the top catcher and pitcher in the state back to back years.

Jay has his own way of recruiting though so not worried. I prefer to see LA kids in purple and gold but hope all of them have success and then transfer lol.

Zion Theophilus is throwing in the MLB Draft league this summer. Miguel Sime is also in that league.

I could see that being the conversation, then him deciding if it’s what he wants or not. Sounds like the expectation is that Curiel will move to CF, which is important going into a draft year for him. He doesn’t have the power to play the corner in pro ball, so he will have to show he can play CF.

i think you hope for more power production from Brown, Milam, Arrambide and even Curiel with another year to add muscle.

Simpson and Dardar at 3rd and 2nd hopefully give you more in aggregate.

So you can survive a defensive oriented outfielder who runs the bases well and hit doubles.

Loy would be a very nice pickup for the bullpen. Wonder if he is wanting to be a starter?

Someone responded with the same question and Ben McKee (the initial reporter) said yes.

He wanted a guaranteed weekend rotation spot from Tennessee and they wouldn't guarantee it.

I don't see any reason we would either.

We are not connected to him, but wonder if he’d follow his teammate.

Have any of y’all heard anything about DJ Newman? He’s a RHP/OF from BGSU who is in the portal. Tennessee’s guy who reports on baseball recruiting said that LSU is recruiting him as a CF

Is Theophilus the one that reclassified?
Haven't seen him in many top prospects for draft lists

If they are at MLB combine that usually means they are leaning more to draft
