How many players do you think we’ll carry into fall practice since the roster doesn’t have to be set until December? It will be interesting to see how different teams approach that?

Still a bunch of really good players going to make it to campus. If we don't lose any more, no one else has 4 high school guys starting where Reagan Ricken is ranked (according to MLB) moving up. Tennessee and Miss St have 3.

There is going to be an open portal window in the fall due to the roster shifting. It's possible we could carry a few extra to that point, but likely not more than a couple. And then of course if anyone medically redshirts as well, that shouldn't count against the limit, such as was the case with Yamin and Sheerin this year. But those type deals aren't exactly easy to plan for

Dylan Grego went in the 13th round to the Padres. "Big" shortstop transfer for Arkansas coming from Ball State.

Arkansas just had their portal ss drafted

There has been a December for a bit. I think they made it 2 weeks instead of 1. Have to be at 34 by 12/1. I have not seen anything regarding red shirt rules (medically or normal RS). Right now it seems you would have to cut guys.

You are right. Turtle/Smoke never had a plan B.

Look at JC Vanek. 14th rounder.

Former commit Jc Vanek just went in round 14.

SELU ace and BM grad, Brennan Stuprich, to the Yanks.

There was reporting about 2 weeks ago that the NCAA had approved a one-time portal window, which evidently is open now through early August. The talk was that teams could designate certain players to enter that portal window. In theory, this could be used to allow certain players to enter if teams ended up over their 34 limit. I guess Jay could keep those players until the December deadline, but I bet most coaches would just give those guys a chance to move on and find a new home.

Been waiting for that pick. Was expecting Ware to likely get drafted and signed just wasn't sure when.

Matt Lanzendofer taken to end the 15th. He was on the portal radar.
