Why would it be Larson? He played everyday as a freshman. Why not Brown? If he doesn’t improve on hitting lefty’s than he will be platooning again next year.

Brown is highly more athletic with much more upside. Brown will not platoon next season. It seemed to me later in the year his at bats got better against LHP. I think this offseason they will give him many LH at bats in live ABs and hopefully that will help. Brown will have a big year next year.

I think for there to be any chance of Larson returning Frey, Stanfield, Fauske, Young, Ebel, and Moss would all have to sign.

Brown isn’t platooning next year. Based off of his and Mahtook’s comments he’s gonna be in the lineup every day.
I said it early but If Moss is gone then use his and Frey’s NIL deal to get stanfield back and at least have one position group locked up.

His bats did not get better, at the end of the year. Agree with the athleticism, for sure.

I don’t think he’s platooning to start either, wouldn’t platoon unless he struggles against lefty’s again.

unpopular but Vitello is always impressive when in this setting

It’s the only way my wife agrees to watch this

His in game antics piss me off sometimes but I’ve grown to like the guy, especially after he hyped up that Evansville player in his post game press conference. He’s actually pretty good at making fun of himself which ends up being endearing. Hes probably fun to play for.
Having said that, give me CJJ all day.

I can't stand him when he's on the field acting like a teenage girl, but in just about every other setting he seems like a good dude.

Guys that are not man enough to like Tony Vitello, don’t know what to do, can’t help them.

He’s whiny and smug in the dugout. And he’s bred an obnoxious culture. I’m certainly a baseball purist, though.

Vitello was a massive douchenozzle his first few years, and especially in 2021 when they had their first big taste of success.
Since then he seems to have chilled out and matured. I’d still rather have CJJ, but I respect what Vitello has done at Tennessee, how much he cares about his guys, and how often he gives genuine props to opposing players instead of the bland “credit to the other team, they just played better” that most coaches do.
I love to hate Tennessee baseball, it’s good to have a few really heated rivalries in this league.

His last AB of the season resulted in a roped single off a lefty

Not getting my hopes up, but I'm certainly happy Fauske is still on the board.
