I wonder if this is the good news Hunt was talking about or if he’s referring to someone else
Almost certain it's this.

From what I've been able to find, it's just a straight 40 with no delineation for COVID year guys.
With the addition of Bingham, quick count has us at 46 for the moment. I know Shores, Lape, and potentially Noot will miss the coming season. Any other guys we know of dealing with potential season long injuries right now?

What do we need now? Holman, one more proven arm, and Montgomery if you can get him as icing on the cake?

I’d another starting pitcher would be nice and Montgomery would be fun just to see everyone else melt about us “buying a roster”

Noot should be ready for the season. If not the start then should be by SEC play.
I assume you count Reaves in the 46. We are still not 100% if he will be with LSU next season. An article was published saying he will be at Blinn again next season. Makes no sense, but there is no confirmation yet on him being at LSU.

Nah, so I am a longtime fan. I have gone to every SEC Tournament since 1996 with my dad. I am a Hammond native that unfortunately lives just south of Birmingham. I have a weekly show that I do with two buddies about college baseball. I have followed this forum for years, to me Project is a God haha.

No offense to mac, but i dont think that video shows him having a good arm. Its a throw from shallow center, momentum going with him, and he 3 hops it in there

I say Holman rounds out the class. With the the add today I don’t see us taking Montgomery or he has plans to go elsewhere. The only disappointment for me is Hill entering the portal so late and us taking the kid from SC. I do not blame Jay it was a timing issue. I don’t see us taking Hill or Montgomery at this point.

Well all those recruiting trips he took here was because of Cain.

How will Noot miss this upcoming season?

There is some question about when his surgery actually happened. It may have been later than we thought.

Jay confirmed before last season started that Noot was out for 2023 with TJ, though he didn’t say the surgery had already occurred. I just don’t see how there would be any logical reason to delay the procedure unless second and third opinions were being consulted.

Wasn't sure about the timeline of his surgery. That's why I said potentially, although I do expect him to pitch at some point next season.

This throw from Montgomery who doesn't even have momentum is impressive.
Ummmm yeah give me him

I think it will depend on where he is in his recovery late in the fall/start of next year. If they think he'll be able to potentially contribute next year, he'll make the 40 man roster.

Noot was having issues in the fall but told Scuba he would be back soon. So they didn't necessarily see the TJ coming. He was shut down before Taylor so, he should be back at some point next year

ETA: And if you’re referring to the Publix on Huntley parkway then we were likely neighbors in Pelham lol.
