Yes its been a problem for a long time which only amplifies the need for the automated strike zone and have the umpire behind the plate making all the other calls (swing, foul tips, safe/out at the plate, HBP, pitch clock, Batter clock, etc.).
Want. Would relieve so much anger while watching the games. This would actually make for a much better viewing every game.

By the end of the CWS I truly had no idea what a strike was.

Dude, balls were extremely hot

I was not always for it, despite my irritation with missed calls over the years, because I thought it would take some of the art of pitching away, and make pitchers have to throw too many balls over the plate. I still think that is going to be somewhat of an issue, but the strike zones just keep moving around so much that it makes it hard to put up with. So I think it's time for auto strike zone, as well.

How many pop ups did you see leave the yard? Outside of the Florida game with a 30 mph wind blowing out. I do not recall a bunch. Leave the ball alone college baseball is fun to watch again. Teams playing in little league parks is the main reason for so many HR
I hope you understand that similarly in how saying a ball was "killed" does not actually mean the baseball is a living being getting murdered, saying pop ups left the yard doesn't mean that everything was hit straight up into the air. I'm talking about balls that hitters clearly got under, that just carried and carried. And I saw a lot of them. If you're looking for a number, sorry, I didn't count them. Also, guys getting jammed and the ball flying out, was very much a thing.
College baseball was fun last year, without juiced balls. It was boring when they first switched to the BBCOR bats, but they made enough adjustments to the ball where it was fair again. We don't need nuclear balls, now.
The little league parks are a different issue. If LSU played in one of those, they probably would have broken their own NCAA home run record this year.

I was hesitant before as well for the reasons you mentioned but at this point it cannot be worse than that 6th inning against Wake Forest in the winners bracket.

I haven't seen anything on an injury, but in his 2.2ip he has 4 wild pitches and 5 hit batters. For him not pitching in a game in so long, I guess it is understandable. I would assume that Jay and co have him on a certain schedule. There is also a chance that they wanted him to pitch a small amount and return to BR to work with Nate.

Not to mention there are guys who are 5'8 and under who are hitting HRs when that would never be the case if the balls weren't juiced. Tommy Hawke going from 2 HRs last year at Wake Forest to having 7 this year should be telling. Dude is 150 lbs soaking wet.

I realize that Altuve isn't your normal baseball player but hes a guy thats 5'6 and absolutely smashes HRs. Just saying the size of a guy doesn't necessarily tell you whether they should be hitting HRs.
Hell Mason Katz was all of 5'9 and he hit nukes.

The amount of homers this year from last year was like a 19% increase across college baseball, that is telling enough by itself

For those that like to look at this stuff ahead of the draft, the draft tracker is up on mlb.com
It gives the large draft pool population. It can tell you who they think is a prospect.

Again you're talking about guys that have a pretty strong core and a big lower half. Tommy Hawke is literally a shrimp. Hes 150lbs he is not someone that is "smashing HRs" without juiced balls.

Feels like TN has a lot of momentum with guys but I think Holman is ours.
