Connor Simon had to give up baseball due to an injury that didn’t heal the way it was intended to heal. He never had any intentions of playing anywhere else. I sure wish he was able to recover from his injury because he would have had a great shot at playing SS for LSU.

That was the transition class. With the exception of Priester and Haddad the rest of those, plus Lansville, Holt, Jobert, and Merrifield had already signed before Johnson was hired. It seems like they all agreed to give it a year and then move on if they weren’t on the same page.
With the 2022 commitments they had a few months before signing day to decide what’s best. They added Shores, Bronzini, Paul, the jucos and the early draftees that signed. They lost Laviolette from the commit list but kept the rest of the big names.
