Just that he's been struggling with his grades this late into his career at LSU it might be over at this level.

Speaking to an assistant coach friend from Archbishop Rummel HS this morning. He stated Diggs is torn and is having a difficult time making a final decision. He was very clear as of last night, Diggs had not committed to anyone.

The family and his friends really wants him at LSU. He sees Carolina as his best opportunity to be the feature back but everytime he starts leaning to commit to Carolina he starts thinking about where LSU could end up in the CFP’s, then he starts thinking what he could be missing out on. LSU did not promise him the starting position and they were clear that they plan to have 3 “featured” backs with him being one. He understands and is somewhat okay with that (they’re selling keeping each back fresh)

LSU is selling HOME and their opportunity to make the CFP’s. As well as their large number of players that get to the NFL.

His mother has made it clear - it’s his decision and she’ll be at every game regardless where he decides to play.

The NIL opportunities are very EQUAL. Carolina presented a very solid plan and he feels very comfortable with Carolina’s offer.

The assistant coach thinks in the end Diggs probably stays home (65-35)because of everyone around him wanting him to and the draw of starring for the Tigers especially if this turns out to be a special season, is just to strong to turn down for a La kid. (LSU didn’t really push for him as a HS recruit and Kelly did)

He did add “but Carolina is making the decision very difficult”.

I'm not saying he should or shouldn't start but I think some here forget what he did when he was on the field.

I only remember one big time run and it was in the Mississippi State game where he just sorta hit a hole quickly and outrun the defenders.

I feel people forget what Williams did ,at the end of the year especially. We don’t win the sec west without him. If Diggs doesn’t start then it’s Williams . Williams knee “surgery” was a scope , wasn’t it?

One good thing is if he can pass protect he will play which he can and he catches the ball out of the backfield. Freshman can come in and start at running back if they can do those things. I have no worries about him learning the playbook. This guy is a day one starter and will most likely lead the running back room in total yards.

LOL tell me what superstars we already had before we landed Diggs? Emery has never lived up to the hype because he can't stay eligible and Goodwin has been hurt. Williams is a avg but very productive and serviceable back. Cain has lost some weight now and along with Diggs and Williams gives us some depth for SEC play. Holly and the other freshman coming in may provide something different than the other three. My point Diggs just secured the running back room with his ability to run and catch out of the backfield.

He absolutely is. He has the most talent and proven production than any other back.
