After reading the 247 and rivals boards the kid says he wants OSU because of his long relationship with LB coach.... parents want USC because of proximity to home.. Kid says he wants to make a trip to Columbus mid-january... If he does he'll probably commit.

He is not over rated, probably under rated,on film he looks like the best Lb in the cycle IMO. If he doesn’t want to come here though what you going to do?

Sheppard is basically the acting LB coach/recruiting contact there of sorts till we hire someone new. He's an analyst for the defense.

Actually right when they hired him early last year, but he's listed as a defensive analyst on the coaches page on lsusports.net.

It's pretty crappy that coach O hasn't been in contact with him in two weeks. Most of our recruits have signed already so he shouldn't be talking to too many recruits. I understand the coaching search, but come on we need a great linebacker

His dad frequently likes anti-clay Helton tweets on twitter, so I’m not sure if I buy this. To be fair, it was more frequent prior to this season, but still; I think it would be odd for him to do such a 180 after a pretty meh season.
