No longer want; this board and Shea said he was overrated.

I'm pretty surprised we wouldn't keep him warm in case a spot opens up.

Even with the need at OL how many kids at inside LB can we really count on right now? Just my opinion.

He plays OLB and he still has a spot if he wants in

Coach O did say, if you didn't sign early or still wanting to look around... then it would be by priority only. We have needs, and if you take yourself out, then you get a Scholly after we fill our needs. I mean, if there's any left. I definitely agree with O. Either you're in, or you're out. We've been burn too many times.

I hope I’m proven wrong, but there is absolutely nothing special about Davis’ play. He’s an undersized lb that has the traits of a thumper. That’s a dead breed in CFB now.

Lmao you’ve never seen the kid play. He’s an OLB with very good hips and play recognition, he’s fast, a good blitzer, and he’s an excellent cover guy. The way you described him is not at all what he is.

You're wrong already. You need LBs like that especially against spread teams.

It is never worth rushing a coaching hire for one or two recruits.

We currently have 20 signees and two other verbals which amounts to the number five overall class.

Pretty sure we’re in good shape and I would much prefer we take our time to vet candidates properly and end up with the right hire as opposed to quick and easy hire that may or may not result in an additional recruit

Need OL even more. We can do without another LB this year.

New: With #LSU going through a DC search, Top 100 LB Raesjon Davis is still keeping his eye on the Tigers.

Not shittin on Shea because I like him and the info he brings during the year. But this time of year this is nothing but a click bait line. These undeclared recruits are the only game to play right now for the recruiting gurus.

Way off base with this assessment. The kid is rated as high as he is because of his speed, height, and most importantly ability to cover in space that is superior to vast majority of linebackers.

Modern linebackers are charged with coverage responsibilities like never before. The big bruising thumper types are the ones facing extinction because running the football has become secondary to pass

I think O is playing it cool. He really wants him, but the kid screwed us over when he did not sign, so O saif Frick you, I'm busy now and not calling your punk/drama filled arse.

Kinda like a dude stops calling the girl, and she is wondering what he is doing and thinking. If we land Feeman he is definitely coming to LSU because of the close relationship they all built together. Pelini's defense scared him off and the horrid LB play this year.

He just backed off to see who we would hire, and cause of the shitty LB play, I might have done the same coming from the West Coast.

I'm confused.... did Davis "sign" or not? If it is being reported he signed, who is saying that- Davis, school/conference, all media outlets, a single media source?

- If yes, what did he sign? LOI? Then we won't be recruiting him any longer as per NCAA rules; his recruitment is over.

- Or is "recruiting media" reporting he signed, but he didn't, to try and prevent us from recruiting him further? (ref. Zach Evans 2019)

- Or, did he sign and not disclose and we're getting baited into potential violating tampering rules? (ref. Tristan Leigh 2020).

I'm under the impression that he's not coming here no matter who the new DC is. Maybe I'll be in for a surprise but once a kid usually decommits from LSU they don't seem to come back
