The class is close to being full anyway isn’t it?

I never said that. I am a huge BK fan and think he's doing a phenomenal job. He's got to do better on the recruiting front if we want to compete for titles each year with the 12 team playoff.

Now we have no DT or significant Dline recruiting and have lost several battles to Texas schools. These things matter and will absolutely determine how good we are in the next few years. And news flash, recruiting isn’t great

DL recruiting absolutely needs to pick up but it’s kind of hard when you’re replacing the DL coach every year and the one you have now had to leave for medical reasons. I suspect we will scour the portal for 2-3 top interior DL who will be sold on the idea of immediate playing time at LSU. It’s not ideal, but Mekhi Wingo, Jordan Jefferson, and Jalen Lee were all portal guys and all have contributed/been really good.

Notre Dame fans warned us that he would recruit, "Good not, great". I am okay with it if this year is an outlier and he continues to kill the transfer portal.

Were you here with the little short guy was hired? Everyone from Michigan State said, he was this and that. His staff, not one coach came with him, the entire staff stayed, but was later fired. I can go down the list of LSU Head Coaching hires over the years, every fan base tried to tell us what a mistake we’d made. Think about where every previous LSU Head Coach came from. Michigan State, Vandy, Ok. St. and O was looking for a job. Michigan St. it’s a cluster right now, Vandy’s trying to get to .500, Ok. St. well it’s been a rough one as of late, last season they were one game above .500.

Yep you need to listen to an opposing fan base to get the truth. You wonder if he’s that bad, why did they keep Kelly 11 years? ND has run through 5 coaches since they last won a NC in 1988. Coaches don’t leave ND, Kelly did.

Quite the zinger from a guy browsing and posting on a board specifically designated for discussing just that. Dumbass

We have 17 DL listed on the roster. Only one Sr that has played meaningful minutes, Jordan Jefferson. The majority of the DL on the roster is made up of Freshmen and Sophomores. Just what Kelly wants, guys in the system for years.

A&M? Right now they have a ton of talent, the Head Coach is fighting with his OC. The AD would like him out of his contract. They haven’t won a National Championship since 1939.

Florida? That one writes its own script. Sunbelt Billy is living on the edge. The list of failures are monumental. Losses to Ky, Tenn and Vandy, got them to 6-7 last season. Much of the same this year.

Since Bama "restored order" on 1/9/12.
We are there. Kelly was brought in to get us out of it. Facts are the pill that is sometimes the hardest to swallow yet you must anyway. They can't be refuted only excused by those attempting to spin a narrative.

We have decent numbers on the edges, but anyone who says they’re comfortable with the interior DL in 2024 is kidding themselves. You have to think Wingo, Maason Smith, and Jefferson are all gone after this year. That leaves you with a lot of questions for next year. They have no choice but to hit the portal for DT’s.

Not really sure what you're trying to say with all those stats. You say we are at mediocrity (meaning in this moment?) But your stats show us going from last in the west to 1st in year 1 of Kelly.

Pretty good job so far based on the results on the field and his only full year of recruiting.

I'm confused, so are you saying I am spinning a narrative not based in fact or others?

Wingo doesn’t fit the profile of an early entrant and Smith might need the whole year to get right. He’s already missed a full season.

Usually the summer is when you see most of the commits and then there will be a lull until high school ball is finished. With 24 players in the class its not like you were gonna see that many new names anyway though.

I doubt either of them will get very high draft grades right now. Its more likely they are both here next year than both leave.

They'll never learn. People will, literally, say it EVERY single year.

When they're finally right...they won't stop talking about how they were right & we were wrong.

I’d love both to come back but I saw a mock draft recently that had both guys as late 1st/early 2nd round picks. Maybe NIL can convince them to stay another year.

Something has got to give or our program is headed for mediocrity. The star power seems pretty low in this class unless a couple of guys end up surprising everyone.

sigh..

Our biggest weakness this year is the secondary and it wasn’t addressed with that inflated recruiting class. It’s the sole reason why we’re #12 and not still in the top 5.

Bro, are you seriously trying to suggest that the reason we didn't beat FSU was because we didn't have a couple of true freshmen playing in their first college game against one of the best receiver rooms in the country? Desmond Ricks was going to swing that game by 25 points?
