Actually. The best way to end this “last minute buying out flipping players” is to end the “signing days”. Let players sign whenever they want. No more specific days for them to sign. That way these schools can say “hey. This is our offer. If you want your spot and this NIL deal, sign now. If you don’t, we will be pitching deals to others at your position and there’s a good chance someone else could accept the deal and sign leaving you out”.
This may not always get you THE recruit you want, but it doesn’t leave you out in the cold with these last minute flips. If a kid isn’t willing to sign at that time, you know any “commitment” you hit from him would t mean much either, so now you can keep looking at other options.

In a capitalistic society this is EXACTLY how it’s supposed to be. You just don’t like it because they are 18-22 year olds who are making more money in one day than you will likely make in your lifetime. You should have become an expert in a profession that is in extremely high demand with a limited supply of people able to do the job. Then you too could have demanded the most.
I suggest learning how to weld underwater. It’s a very comfortable living.

Todd Graves doesn’t even have to directly give money to LSU to make us instantly a top dog. He could have an LSU NIL weekend for all Canes restaurants where a small percentage of the revenue generated went to the NIL collective.
One weekend alone would generate multi millions of dollars.

And yall actually believe we are going to land a giant portal class? If we get outbid for top players in high school we desperately need and want we damn sure will get outbid on transfer portal players. They usually cost even more money.
