He is very confident, so I wouldn’t fret.

There are four foreign players with whom there are deals in place, Their eligibility has not been confirmed by the NCAA:

Marcio Santos ( International / Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv)- 7.3 ppg, 2.4 reb, 0.7 ast
Saliou Niang ( International / Virtus Bologna)- 7.9 ppg, 5.0 reb, 1.7 apg
Brice Dessert ( International / Anadolu Efes)- 7.2 ppg, 3.0 reb, 0.5 ast
Michael Ruzik (International / Joventut Badalona)- 6.7 ppg, 3.6 reb, 0.6 ast

They are also recruiting former NBA G league player R J Luis who was Big East Player of the Year at St John's whose eligibility is in the hands of the NCAA.

There are reportedly several players in the group of fifth year seniors who have expressed interest in LSU. Their eligibility will ultimately be decided in a court of law, possibly by the Supreme Court.

Outside of two signees the rest of the players signed or with pending deals seem to have limited offensive prowess as none averaged double figures. That may be due to their lack of scoring ability or possibly playing on teams where they were not the primary offensive forces. Several are purpotebly defensive specialists. Hopefully any players signe from the fifth year group wil be offensive minded.

It is risky to have the eligibility of all but the early frour portal signees awaiting eligibility determination. The limited roster at present leave no room for injury even if all become eligible.

It will also be interesting to see how so many foreign players blend in with the much younger current transfers since they have been playing in leagues with different rules and customs than the NCAA. Wade has been successful at every stop and we hope that trend continues. He has been given all of the support needed and has an ample war chest to sign more players.

It's an alter. No one is going to come here to start that thread when the same thread already exists unless it's a troll. So, this person made a new account just to make that thread.

I am confident in Wade. He will have a team and we will be much more competitive than last few years. I am not confident in the NCAA however and do have some concern of them trying to crack down on older Euro guys. Confident the one younger Euro shouldn't have issues but the other ones could. Also, no way I see Luis playing. Hope he does but just don't see it. Plus, I saw yesterday that the judge on the 5th year guys supposedly clarified that it was for kids to go back to school they were at and not to transfer. Don't know how they could do that without more suits. Who knows what it will look like. Just know the NCAA is a huge cluster right now.

Serious question: Why do we care what NCAA rules since most are getting local judges to overturn existing rulings?

yes you can get a local judge to overturn. However, what happens if you get say 3 Euro guys here that way and they are playing and then all the sudden in middle of the year the NCAA appeals or something and then all the sudden you lose 3 keys guys is my fear. I don't trust all these back and forth court deals.

And yet, he will still have more wins than Mcwtf had in any of his years as HC here. I must also qualify with that just having more wins than the last coach is NOT success...

So why did you make such a gratuitous comment? What did you gain by doing so? What if it doesn't happen? It should but gotta get the players and then make them a cohesive unit. Then hope for no major injuries.

Having more wins than McWTF is gratuitous? No, I am only stating that whatever WW does, it will be an improvement. I personally believe he will get us to the tournament on a regular basis and who knows once we are in. I also think WW has already shown big skill in the P2P era... But, I get it, we should've given McWTF another year..
