Not a bad start. Need 6-7 more

Not a star, but a guy with a ton of SEC experience and decent production. Not a bad first transfer

This is not moving the needle at all.

He is instantly the best player on the roster lol

Have to start somewhere. Good SEC experience. Move the needle higher and higher with each prospect coming in.

It's a good start, but I feel like this had to happen since he entered the portal. Not giving props for this happening, but it would've been a massive miss if it hadn't. Sounds like he's pushing hard for Jalen Cook too.

If you are expecting multiple "big name" transfers you may as well just close the book now. That's unlikely to happen.
Wright is a 5th year guy with a lot of SEC experience. The hope is that you can get other 3rd or 4th year guys with significant experience (even if it is somewhat lesser conference like the AAC or WCC) mixed in with maybe a big time player or two from a one-bid league (similar to a KJ Williams quality of player)
If he can do that, then LSU SHOULD have a roster with similar expectations as this season (compete in the middle of the SEC behind Kentucky, Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee, Auburn). It will then be on McMahon to adjust his approach to make it work. Simply changing players and taking the same approach as this past season ain't going to cut it.

Hell yeah! Welcome home big fella. Needed experience and toughness at the 3/4 spot.

Hopefully landing Jordan Wright convinces other big targets to commit. Basketball needs so much more.

One, hopefully two, of these big transfers need to be solid guards. The guard play on last season's team was extremely lacking.

Really good piece. that gets much better with other commits. So hopefully this is the first of a many

Brother we are not in a position to turn our nose up at a solid SEC rotation player
We currently only have a handful of those

Yeh we got the second best player from the only team we beat, slow down McBland!

One thing this thread has made clear to me is they have a lot of cope going on. Better hope he starts moving the needle somewhere because we're just going to end up in the same position next year.
Yeah, we suck but it didn't seem to hurt the other teams who had to turnaround after firing their coaches. It's simply not an excuse. The transfer portal is there and available to instantly make you good. He needs some really good players on the roster somewhere.

Considering we only had 2 players average double figures….I’d say it moves the needle quite a bit.

No offense to Wright he’s a solid player but we’re gonna need a hell of a lot more than that to actually contend in the SEC.

A double digit scorer on a ncaa bubble team isn’t a good pickup? I swear some of you know less than nothing about college basketball lol

The ranters are very ignorant in this regard.
They think last year's team was full of biddy recruits and shite mid major transfers.

Wright is a solid player, good pickup. We are also in BJ Mack's final five.
