Flashback talk of the Faulk/Collins/Mealy juggernaut. Wanted to see those boys in a wishbone!

I was extremely impressed with Magee all year don't think it's a guarantee that LF beats him out. If he does great but I don't see it as a guarantee

I read the RB daily, but obviously I never post my opinion about anything, but I got a group text today from a fraternity brother that is friends with some of the current football players (OBJ, Jarvis) and gets to talk with them occasionally due to his job.

The text read:

Jeremy hill staying now, he talked to coaches and LF apparently, thinks we'll win NC next year, so does LF, LF wants him back... Sounds pretty enthusiastic

When asked who his source was, he responded with:

Hill

There's no proof yet, and after this past 5 for 5 resulting in 2 for 5, I won't bite and believe anything until its a done deal, but I do know that my fraternity brother had a conversation with him this weekend.

If its not true and he goes pro like everyone expects, burn me. But if it is true, can you even imagine how nasty a backfield with those 2 guys could be. Scary.

I called one of my Bama friends and told him this news and all he said was "I pray to God that's not true."

If some of this is true about Hill stating, then a wishbone look could be absolutely brutal to defend.

Hill and LF in the backfield with 3rd and 10. The defense will still have 10 in the box.

Thanks.

What's the deadline for Hill (and the others) to declare/agent up?

ETA: Hill staying affects LF... in a POSITIVE way.

Per CBS

Confirmed by a NFL spokesman, January 15, 2014 will be this year's deadline for draft-eligible underclassmen to petition for early entry for the 2014 NFL Draft.

I don't think there's any chance Hill stays. He's coming off of an incredible bowl showing, and honestly I can't see him staying out of trouble for an entire additional season. And I think he knows that....

if not the wishbone, Fournette in the slot replacing Jarvis on crossing routes would be dangerous. I wouldn't be surprised to see Cam using him in this role quite a bit, especially if Hill returns.

I would love to see Hill come back but LF and Magee in the same backfield will be dominant as well.
