I felt like when I first moved to Crestview in 1993, FSU and Braves fans just dominated the area. I don't know how all of that breaks down regionally, but I'm sure it ebbs and flows with each generation.

Very true. Barf. It was like that even before the Tide were a dynasty. South MS is Tiger country, the Texas Red River counties are Sooner fans. Interesting how some states have spots that root for another states university

Had a punter who had a brother who kicked for the Gators.

ETA: Carlos was from south FL.
Willie Bryant was from FWB.
Kessler was the hunter's name.

Matt DeFrank in 1984 football kicker was also from Fort Walton Beach and Choctawhatchee HS.

Bill Arnsparger and Jerry Stovall had some. Others on roster in 1984

Derik Hare - Milton
Willie Bryant - FWB
Chris Cruz - Pensacola
Scott Bromley - Pensacola
