Our bullpen sucks so we can never win a national championship!

Some guys came into camp and didn’t perform like they needed too. Others got here and looked around and thought these dudes are all good and it freaked them out.

The guys we want usually stick around, though there are always a couple of exceptions. The early signing day is a months away and however our team plays and our home game official visits coming. I'll chill till all is said and done.

expect to go all-in on 1 Texas prospect ala' Perkins a couple of years ago. Reality is we aren't going to get in a bidding war for a bunch of 5* kids out of Texas (or Georgia). I expect the staff to focus on one and put all the NIL efforts in that endeavor. I also think NIL funds will be focused on the DL from Acadiana and the DB from Ehret.
I'm not sweating some 3* DB, oh wait
I do too but Perkins offer from lsu was like his 3rd best offer. A&m and Florida both had higher offers.

You really believe that? There's no way to know that for sure and even if that was true, obviously he felt LSU offered more or he wouldn't have ended up here.

Do people on this board really believe BK is having a
tough time recruiting, what a bunch of ignorant fans.As long
as LSU recruiting is top 10 we will be a contender.
Dabo won his 1st NC without having a top 10 class.O won
a NC without a #1 class.Louisianas 3 stars are better than
alot of states 4 stars.BK is having to make inroads on big
OL/DL that O couldn`t get,Yet he still won a NC.
The reallity is if LSU fans have nothing to bitch about
yhey are miserable.

It's not all about money. Watch Josh Pate and other recruiting people that talk to these guys. So many of the average fan thinks it's NIL, when it's not. That's only part of the deal. That 5 star Iowa OL that went to Bama, did not have the highest offer from Bama and that's the same for many UGA players. They understand the culture of a coach, and pedigree of a program and the path of the NFL pipeline is also important.

I don't believe they are having a “tough time” but they are getting beaten for kids they are pressing hard for. I know it's getting under the recruiting staff’s skin based on comments they've made on social media.
I don't think LSU is falling behind. LSU’s class will always depend heavily on what LA produces.
During this golden era of LSU football, their class ranking average is about #7. I think they'll be around that when all is said and done this year. Maybe slightly lower but there is no reason to panic.

These are the Golden Years. What team, not named bama, has done more in the 2000’s?

I trust that in the end, CBK will have a very good class adding good line depth and key team depth needs. It is way too early to be stressing about recruiting.
Looking forward to season #2 in 2023!

As long as we get 3-4 DLman and 3-4 OLman ranked within the top 25 I’m good with that. The rest will fall into place.
We already have some good LBs, WRs and DBs. TE isn’t an issue and we have some really good RBs to choose from next class. Land 1 or 2 QBs next class and keep loading up at LB, DL and OL.
After this season we should see recruiting pick up quite a bit nationally or regionally. If not then we need to go after some recruiting gurus in the offseason. Plus I have a feeling that Louisiana will start to pick up at our usual strength spots. DL, DB, WR and RB.
Hopefully that happens at the same time as we have a few good QB and OL to choose from instate as well. But the usual positions should start to pick back up.

Ding. Ding. Ding.
The big boys - Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, LSU - they sell NFL to recruits, not NIL. Getting a first round contract from the Chicago Bears is life changing money, compared to getting a check from a personal injury lawyer.

Losing steam?
We have 7 of the top 10 in the State of La, we are letting kids know to search elsewhere as we have higher ranked targets that are probably silents.
We have 17 commits, if we pull in a few big names we are in the running for we will be in the top 5. That is what we need as long as we are filling needs.

And also have the #1 players committed from both Tennessee & North Carolina- you don’t think those kids were being pressed by their home states

This might help you a little:
Mooresville (N.C.) Lake Norman four-star offensive tackle Ethan Callowayhas committed to the LSU Tigers. He announced the news on Twitter.
The 6-foot-7, 300-pounder is the No. 215 overall prospect and No. 17 offensive tackle in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 5 player in North Carolina.
On3 rates Calloway higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 74 overall prospect, No. 10 offensive tackle and the No. 1 player in North Carolina.
LSU has picked up the #1 players from the state of North Carolina and Tennessee. To think Kelly is losing steam, is such a failure on your part. He’s no where to losing steam, the Tigers Baseball team was in Omaha winning a NC. He had to finish in BTR with a few players he’s recruiting. They know he delayed his trip to be with them. He knows the importance of both going on within the programs.
Like I said before, right now, no college is getting more publicity than the Tigers. To think Kelly is losing steam, did you observe last season?

^^^^this.
I am betting we get one more center/Guard and a tackle and the line looks beautiful.
Would love to land a center AND an OG with the tackle.

The players that have de committed recently were processed, because higher ranked players wanted to come here.

Yes, I do believe that. Florida for sure offered him more.

Definitely agree with you. Nobody wants to admit the elephant in the room. We aren't even being mentioned with a lot of 5 stars these days. Something is going on and its not good

Right, we’re not even in the running for guys like Simmons, McKinley, or the #1 player in 2025 Bryce Underwood.
