Is BK losing steam on the trail?

I know we have had a few decommitments lately, and I’m not trying to be a negatiger, but are we leading in some different areas?
The class just doesn’t seem to be what we need to consistently be at the top of the conference.

I don't keep up with recruiting as much, but when I look at where the "decommits" ended up it tells me the decision was ours, not theirs.

The few recent decommits were basically processed. A massive amount of top flight guys still incoming.

This time last year in recruiting the sky was falling, Notre dame fans were beating their chest about the number 1 class and how LSU was screwed with Kelly recruiting. It turned out great.
Louisiana being down this year might mean we don’t end up with a top 3 class. But if you make sweeping conclusions about recruiting in June you need a new hobby.

The only surprise for me is the kid from Pearland who flipped to UH.
I know we really wanted to OT from Beaumont. But we had four big commits before these two events happened. I think we are still doing pretty well.

Too early to say. I think as we win more people will want on the choo choo train. I do think recruiting is a bit more slow right now for various reasons. We've lost some pretty important staff that helped on the trail and also it's not as strong in Louisiana this year as typical years. I don't think they're sweating it either way. Remember if all fails you still have the portal. If you remember when we won a NC a few years back that season especially at the end had very little momentum in recruiting which was baffling considering how amazing that team was. We should've raided blue chips but we didn't.
Not sure what the slow start is for us here seems to be a contribution of many factors. I think they're being slower on evaluations. Admit it or not Pollian added a lot to this staff especially for BK with recruiting. Also, last year around this time people were losing their shite then July hit and we raided. I'm sure BK likes to be slower on his evaluations and loves to line the board up after camps which it's starting to fall in place now. Probably going to be a regular thing every year so expect it under him.

BK is doing fine we don't have a great LA class like years previous. Also several late bloomers usually show film on the Oline so by mid fall hopefully we have a couple more OL-DL.
